If It Wasn’t For Fake Victims, There’d Be No Need for Victim Cards
Someone on X pointed out something I didn’t think of with my post this morning:
One of the funniest things about this is that they gave a bunch of professional victims literal victim cards and they then spend all their time arguing over who got to play their victim card and when. Brilliant. https://t.co/i6pD5Zth7y

In a nutshell, this is precisely what is wrong with Canada (and all of “blue” America). When a society reaches a point, where the key to getting ahead changes from meritocracy to permanent victimhood, that society is doomed.
I do take pride in the fact that many years ago, I coined the acronym “PVS”, which stands for Permanent Victim Syndrome. Nowadays, I tend to think that PVS & TDS are both real.
Sleight Of Hand
Just think how much Canada could boost defense spending by shifting the budgets for all manner of random departments to National Defense.
Bartlett said one of the reasons Canadian GDP won’t get a boost is that shifting spending from other departments likely helped Canada hit its target. For example, the Coast Guard budget was moved from Fisheries and Oceans to Defence.
The coal plan

The Saskatchewan coal refurbishment plan, laid out by year until 2035.
This is the most detail I’ve seen so far, laying out expected cost per unit, and a year-by-year plan to rebuild them. And I go into some detail into how much cheaper this would be than building new natural gas-fired power plants. It’s a lot.

Pardon, Not Sorry
The Board of Directors of Air Canada today announced…
… that Michael Rousseau has informed the Board that he will retire by the end of the third quarter of 2026, after nearly two decades of strong and dedicated leadership that has reinforced Air Canada’s place as a leader in the airline industry domestically and globally. Mr. Rousseau will continue to lead the company and to serve on its Board until that time.

New Governor, Same As The Old Governor
What an absolute knob. Maybe if they put a backdrop for him to pose in front of in the House of Commons he might actually show up there. pic.twitter.com/KVtwEc0O5t

Your Moral And Intellectual Superiors
Don’t scoff, journalism is a serious business: This is how Rahm Emanuel eats a salad.
And super-duper serious is the war journalism.

Artemis II Moon Mission
Were you aware that a Canadian is one of four astronauts soon heading to the moon? Neither are most Canadians. The “news” shows simply don’t have enough time in between the 24/7 anti-American, anti-Trump endless hatefest to inform anyone of this historic mission. Details here.
Canadian Clown Show
The CBC can’t seem to produce any TV show that attracts more than a small handful of Canadians, but it turns out that the NDP has delivered comedy gold that is attracting massive attention from around the world! There are so many links appearing on social media, but here are a few: Asmongold TV AnitaK h/t roaddog Unacceptable Fringe Tajana Ceckic
Update: The comments on this official NDP post are well worth a read.

China Carney’s Canada: John slept here. New World Order. Rebranded as hate. Liberals re-write Prairie history.
The Democrat Party’s America: Brian Stelter. Democracy is racist. The college racket.
Stories You Won’t Find At Carney’s CBC: The failure of MSM. Meloni vs Starmer. Paul Joseph Watson – Under his nose. Carney’s Muslim values?
Take That, Conventional Family Structure
On the non-random nature of who you are; on the apparently “problematic” Calvin and Hobbes; and on the family unit as reinvented by Guardian contributors:
“For us,” says Eleanor Margolis, “the ideal parenting setup would consist of three or four of us sharing responsibility for a child (the others involved would also be responsible for providing the sperm).”
Providing the sperm. A joyous and maternal turn of phrase.
Also of note, the idea of wanting a baby, but with only a third or a quarter of the responsibility. A kind of low-commitment parenting.
Bodes well.
All this and more.
