  1. Yeah, who could have guessed that restoring economic freedom after decades of Peronista communism could have positive results?

    1. The same basic turnaround occured in Eastern Europe after the yoke of the USSR was removed.

I was in Poland shortly before the Soviet Union lost its grip and shortly after and noticed remarkable changes taking place, even more so on subsequent visits.

  2. The closest Canadian politician to Milei is Mad Max and the mindless mushy middle in Canada still believes in Santa Clause Carney and elbows up. We are not only at opposite ends of the two continents geographically but are decades behind them, still in economy destroying mode never mind hitting bottom.

    1. The UK had a version in Liz Truss, she wanted to cut taxes and downsize government, along with restarting North Sea energy, she was sandbagged by the Governor of the Bank of England who engineered a bond crisis, who was the governor, you ask? One Mark Carney.

He is a globalist through and through, loyal only to the City of London, and a traitor to free people. Boomers are by and large, such morons.

  3. Milei is a modern day Roger Douglas. Douglas’s philosophy was simple: push as hard as you can on reforms. If you don’t, your enemies will sense weakness and regroup in short order, stalling your efforts. To this day, I still hear New Zealanders whine about how Douglas moved too quickly and was too disruptive. Nonsense. There’s no other way to get an economy back on its feet.

  4. My personal (and very selfish) litmus test for Argentina will be met when they initiate their coffee growing business in Tucumán and kick Columbia, Indonesia, and Brazil in the proverbial teeth.

    1. I couldn’t find Argentina in the top 50 coffee growers. As coffee growing countries appear high on the shithole scale I am wondering whether a lot of unskilled low priced labour is required. Maybe not a product for aspiring industrial powers. It is on the edge of the required tropical climate.

  5. But Victor Oban is OUT! All those populists who don’t obey the “rules based order” of the Socialist World order are getting thrashed! And Trump will surely lose the midterms and get impeached … again … if he lives that long.

I’ve heard that on the CBC and their ilk.

      1. That was my Single malt Tourette’s brain typing. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

        1. Hardly an inconvenience, old fellow, indeed my next band will now be called Single Malt Tourettes. Although they tell me that it’s only really “Tourette’s” if it actually comes from the Tourettes region of France. Otherwise it’s just sparkling obscenity.
