A Vancouver climate news site, the National Observer, is the nation’s heaviest user of Department of Canadian Heritage grants, newly-disclosed records show. The “independent news site” received more than $1.3 million in taxpayers’ aid to cover the equivalent of 23 employees’ salaries while its CEO served on a volunteer board responsible for approving grants: “The National Observer record speaks for itself regarding our independence from any government.”
@bcbluecon – Yup. Tides owns the National Observer for example: Publisher Linda Solomon Wood

Yawn. Call me when Pee-pee raises hell about this.
Good reporting by Blacklock’s Reporter. I read a bit of the National Observer. It reds like talking points from Carney’s PMO.
L – The Liberal Federal Dept. of Heritage doing what it can do destroy our heritage?
That is like the Liberal Federal Dept. of Health policy encouraging and assisting suicide?
That is like the Liberal Federal Dept. of Finance policies shrinking the Canadian economy?
That is like the Liberal Federal Dept. of Immigration policy lowering Canadian’s wages?
Am I the only one seeing a pattern here?
The Observer needs some introspection.
$1.3M is chump change for Kneel Young … why isn’t he personally funding this Tides operation? Why isn’t the Tides Foundation funding themselves?

This is THEFT … the same kind USAID steals from the taxpayer, PBS steals from the taxpayer, and the Somali Learing Centers STEALS from the taxpayer.
It strikes me that all money in Neil Young’s hands is chump change, almost by definition.
it’s like a feedback loop in some sort of electronic device. most times l believe is an undesirable thing. apparently NOT when within Liberalism however. or, more exactly, exclusively within Liberalism, the rest of us pay for it.
