No More Prayers on Remembrance Day, Military Tells Chaplain Service:
Canadians about to attend Remembrance Day ceremonies across the country could come across different proceedings than they’re used to, as the military has told its chaplain service that religious prayers in official public functions are now forbidden.
The move is part of the larger cultural change process in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) implemented by the Liberal government, which aims to put principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at the core of the organization.

They Are Not “Treaty People”
Australians have cast their vote in the Voice to Parliament referendum.
The proposal, to formally recognise Indigenous Australians in the constitution and to create an advisory body called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to make representations to the federal government, has been resoundingly defeated. […]
Opposition leader Peter Dutton says the result is “good for our country”.
He thanked No campaign leaders Jacinta Nampijinpa Price and Nyunggai Warren Mundine.
“No one is owed more gratitude than each of these individuals,” he said.
“They have suffered through deeply personal and offensive attacks.”
Mr Dutton said the Coalition wants to see Indigenous disadvantage addressed.
“We just disagree on the Voice being the solution,” he said.
Calling for an end to “academics and activists” thinking they knew better than people on the ground in remote communities, she said that a new way of thinking was required.
“We should not maintain the racism of low expectations in this country,’’ she said. “We are all part of the fabric of this nation.”
Senator Price said she wanted to thank the Australian people for “believing in our nation.”
“The Australian people have overwhelmingly voted No. They have said No to division in our Constitution along the lines of race,” she said.
“They have said No to the gas-lighting, bullying, to the manipulation. They have said No to grievance and the push from activists to suggest that we are a racist country when we are absolutely not a racist country. […]
In an emotional speech, she described the Voice referendum as the “biggest gaslighting event our nation has ever experienced”.
“We are sick to death of being told how racist we are, how horrible we are. Our own children are being taught not to be proud to call themselves Australians in this country,’’ she said.
Senator Price has argued a Voice would “constitutionally enshrine” a victimhood mentality in the country.
“It doesn’t belong here,”

New Discourses Podcast with James Lindsay: Learning and Countering Leftist Strategy
Leftism, including Marxism, is operational. It is strategic. It knows what it’s doing and how to do it. It might look crazy, but that’s deliberate. In fact, Leftists proudly publish and disseminate activist guides for their agenda like the book Beautiful Trouble that spell out for anyone how to do “transformative” activism through deliberate and strategic troublemaking.[…] He starts by laying out that “Your Target’s Reaction Is Your Real Action,” explains how that progresses through “Put Your Target in a Decision Dilemma,” and illustrates how the program is accelerated with “Escalate Strategically.” He also takes pains to point out that all of their activism contains a performative element, like theater, to sway public or political opinion

What’s The Opposite Of Diversity?
Boston University hired Ibram X. Kendi to lead its new Center for Antiracist Research in 2020, a year marked by a global pandemic and nationwide racial tension.
Three years later, after at least $43 million in grants and gifts and what sources say has been an underwhelming output of research, the Center for Antiracist Research laid off almost all of its staff last week.
Multiple former staff members allege that a mismanagement of funds, high turnover rate and general disorganization have plagued the Center since its inception.[…]
Former staff members said the Center appeared to prioritize fundraising and revenue over research.

The new priesthood gathers to plot their next move.
The Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) is strategizing on how to counteract the million-person march Wednesday.
On September 11, OFL President Patty Coates sent an email to the OFL executive board, executive council, union heads, committees, coalitions, and community partners.
Its notice read, “Urgent Action Required: Rapid Response to September 20th Canada-Wide (anti-sexual minority) Protests.”
The email warned, “the ultra-conservative right have planned nationwide events to protest teaching (sexual minority) content in schools under the guise of protecting children.”
Although the rallying cry is entitled, “A day to unite all religions in the defence of children against (sexual minority) indoctrination in Canadian schools,” Coates took a different view.
“We know that far from protecting students this will hurt them in so many ways,” she wrote.
“In this time of unprecedented hate and emboldened anger against so many people, it is time now, more than ever, for labour to show up as allies to protect targets of hate and bigotry wherever they may be.”

What Would We Do Without Peer Review?
Florida State University criminology professor Eric Stewart was a guru of the claim that “systemic racism” infests America’s police and American society.
Now he’s out of a job on account of “extreme negligence” in his research.
The academic was fired after almost 20 years of his data — including figures used in an explosive study, which claimed the legacy of lynchings made whites perceive blacks as criminals, and that the problem was worse among conservatives — were found to be in question.
College authorities said he was being fired for “incompetence” and “false results.”
Among the studies he has had to retract were claims that whites wanted longer sentences for blacks and Latinos.
Jonestown Precinct
We reported how Shivanthi Sathanandan, the Second Vice Chair of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, said in a Facebook post that she had been carjacked and beaten in front of her young children in the driveway of her Minneapolis home. She said that she had sustained a broken leg, as well as other cuts and bruises. Then she ranted about the attackers, whom she described as four young armed men, and demanded that they needed to be held accountable for their actions.
AdvertisementSathanandan thanked the police in her Facebook post about the attack. That seemed to be a big change of heart, given that she had previously called for the dismantling of the Minneapolis Police Department in 2020 during the BLM riots. It’s important to understand that businesses were being destroyed and people were being killed, while she was advocating this.
It gets better.
A Minneapolis law enforcement source tells me officers in the 4th precinct are being encouraged to patrol Sathanandan’s neighborhood when not responding to calls.
“Now she wants extra police presence? She can eat the largest bag of dicks,” the source added. https://t.co/JEEiUhItTV
