They conveniently left out that the Palestinians in the video are chanting “Jews remember Khaybar, where Muhammad massacred the Jews.” Absolutely disgusting “journalism.” pic.twitter.com/Yn0DbxB6iH

Let Cooler Heads Prevail
Before Canada gets caught up in an unwinnable race to implement self-imposed sanctions in response to the implementation of self-imposed sanctions by the United States, Terrance Corcoran has an alternative strategy.
Ottawa is reportedly gearing up tariff strategies, including one that would apply to every U.S. product Canada imports, from Florida orange juice to Pittsburgh steel.
All of which is a perversion of the economic principles of free trade, made even more perverse by the fact that these protectionist tariff plans mean that Canada would be adopting Trump’s economically irrational scheme to impose tariffs that would drive up U.S. consumer prices and raise costs for U.S. industry — all in the absurd belief that because Canada exports more to the U.S. than it imports there is a trade “imbalance” that needs to be fixed.

Desperate times call for desperate lies.
As former finance minister Chrystia Freeland prepares to launch a Liberal leadership bid, a source close to her [that would be Freeland] says scrapping the controversial consumer carbon tax will be one of her policy planks.
“She is ready to make difficult decisions to meet our emissions targets and make sure big polluters pay for their outsized emissions. But she will not fight Canadians on a policy they have been clear, they do not support,” the source tells CTV News. “That’s why Chrystia Freeland will replace the consumer carbon price with a system that will work within our federation and will be developed collaboratively with provinces and territories.”
Meaning, the consumer still pays the carbon tax and she thinks Canadians are idiots.

During the lengthy interview quoted above, Walgreens CEO Tim Wentworth hints at the development of “creative” solutions for customers demoralised by unimpeded thieving and the subsequent lockdown status of many stores. Paying customers, a seemingly shrinking demographic, will, we’re assured, be offered a “better… in-store experience” via “new scheduling optimisation logic” and “leveraging our omnichannel capabilities.”
Oddly, Mr Wentworth, whose business is planning to close another 450 stores during the coming year, avoids any use of the words shoplifting, looting, or theft.
O, Sweet Saint Of San Andreas
In 2019, the LA Department of Water and Power (LADWP) began replacing nearly 100-year-old power line poles cutting through Topanga State Park, when the project was halted within days by conservationists outraged that federally endangered Braunton’s milkvetch plants had been trampled during the process. […]
Instead of fire-hardening the park, the city — which the state said had undertaken the work without proper permitting — ended up paying $2 million in fines and was ordered by the California Coastal Commission to reverse the whole project and replant the rare herb.
That work saved about 200 Braunton’s milkvetch plants — almost all of which have now likely been torched in the wildfires that consumed Topanga Canyon, along with nearly 24,000 acres (37 square miles) of some of LA’s most sought-after real estate.
