Just when you thought weak Leftists couldn’t get any more insane, along comes this story: Vancouver’s Trutch Street is now šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmasəm Street:

A round of applause erupted Tuesday in the gallery of Vancouver city council chambers, after the city officially adopted its first street name in hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓, the language of the Musqueam First Nation.

But while the council vote on this first-of-its-kind change was unanimous, the sentiment outside of city hall was not.

The Kitsilano road formerly known as Trutch Street is now legally šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmasəm Street, a name given to the city by the Musqueam First Nation. By Tuesday afternoon, the new name was showing up on Google maps, and new street signs are set to be unveiled within days.

One wonder if locals will now forever refer to this road as “The Street formerly known as Trutch Street”

New Governor, Same As The Old Governor

Brian Lilley;

Canada’s leadership can’t help but shoot itself in the foot when it comes to negotiating a new trade deal with the Americans. We continue to cling to a digital services tax that has angered all sides in Washington and Tuesday passed a bill making it illegal to negotiate anything related to supply management.

On Tuesday, the Senate passed Bill C-202, a bill brought forward by the Bloc Quebecois that makes it a law that negotiators at the Department of Foreign Affairs are not allowed to put supply management on the table. That means no negotiations for quotas, prices for quotas or market access to the chicken, egg or dairy sector are allowed as part of any trade deal.

Before we get into why this is such a horrible idea, consider that the sponsor of this bill is Yves-Francois Blanchet, the leader of the Bloc Quebecois. Canada’s trade policy has now been surrendered, handcuffed you might say, by the leader of the party that wants to break up Canada and who claims that Canada is not a real country.

He’s not wrong.

Now that the election is over the mainstream media water carriers can safely post bad news.

The largest drop was seen in the manufacturing sector, with a net loss of 31,000 jobs, a 1.6 per cent decline from March. Regionally, the deepest manufacturing impact was in Ontario, with 33,000 fewer jobs.

“Overall, we are seeing a job market that was weak heading into the trade war, now looking like it could soon buckle.”

Transgender Is A Stalking Horse For The Normalization Of Pedophilia

Sean Davis;

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court has upheld Tennessee’s law banning genital mutilation of minors under the guise of so-called “trans” surgery.

“The Court’s role is not ‘to judge the wisdom, fairness, or logic’ of [the ban on surgically mutilating minors], but only to ensure that the law does not violate equal protection guarantees,” the Supreme Court ruled. “It does not. Questions regarding the law’s policy are thus appropriately left to the people, their elected representatives, and the democratic process.”

A quick Google News search confirms the mainstream media is tearing their pronouns and rending breast binders.

AP: “a jolting setback to transgender rights.”

The BBC relitigates, because that’s their job.

CBS: “a decision that is likely to have broad implications for access to medical treatments for transgender youth in half of the country.”

CNN is more balanced.
