    Which leads to this story. On the set filming The Marathon Man in 1975, Dustin Hoffman was coming into the set for a script reading, after a along run, entering the room hot and panting. Hoffman was a method actor, and he explained to Laurence Olivier (who played a bad guy) that he was trying to get into the part. To which Olivier replied, with aplomb, “Did you every try acting?”.
