HAMILTON, Ont. — A memorial for soldiers killed in Afghanistan is complete and will be installed in Trenton, Ont., on Friday.
Workers at HGH Granite in Hamilton took meticulous care to complete the five pieces of the memorial that will be placed just outside CFB Trenton at Bain Park and officially unveiled on Nov. 10.
About 175 family members of the fallen will come from across Canada for the unveiling.
“American Badasses”
Not knowing exactly what was taking place, the two SEALs set up a defensive perimeter. Unfortunately Ambassador Stevens was already gravely injured, and Foreign Service officer, Sean Smith, was dead. However, due to their quick action and suppressive fire, twenty administrative personnel in the embassy were able to escape to safety. Eventually, these two courageous men were overwhelmed by the sheer numbers brought against them, an enemy force numbering between 100 to 200 attackers which came in two waves. But the stunning part of the story is that Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty killed 60 of the attacking force. Once the compound was overrun, the attackers were incensed to discover that just two men had inflicted so much death and destruction.

“The BBC isn’t the Catholic Church, but it has its own ideals and traditions…“
A friend of Gamlin’s remembers going to see him in a flat in All Souls Place in the 1950s, just round the corner from Broadcasting House. A man from Light Entertainment used the flat during the working week and Gamlin often stayed there with young boys. It was clear to the friend that both men were renting the boys, and that the boys were young: ‘They were boys with the kind of good looks that would seem very lewd in a woman.’ He also remembers going for a coffee with one of the boys from the flat. ‘The boy was nice,’ he said, ‘very young. He thought he might get a job or something of that sort. And it was clear the men were using him for sex. Broadcasting House was well stocked with men interested in sleeping with young boys. It was a milieu back then. And people who sought to be sexual predators knew that. It wasn’t spoken about.’ “

On The Front Lines Of A Global Struggle
With Terry Glavin;
For much of the past decade, the earnest and the animated have been adorning the walls of church basements and student union buildings across Canada with Israeli Apartheid banners and Hands Off Iran posters. Meanwhile, after the Khomeinist regime in Tehran crushed an insurrection in 2009, a Tunisian fruit vendor set himself on fire in January 2011 and then Tahrir Square erupted in Cairo in the following weeks. Suddenly, Arab liberals, feminists, students, reformists and revolutionaries were at the vanguard of tumults from the Barbary Coast to Bahrain. They were on their own.
In Gaza, they were bullied and beaten by the same Hamas thugs who take only slightly less delight when they notice yet another ship on the horizon carrying Torontonians or Berliners or Parisians intent on making exhibitionist nuisances of themselves with the IDF. As of this week, the death tally in the Syrian abattoir run by Hamas benefactor Bashar Assad is roughly 30,000 (was there a teach-in that I missed?). Nobody even talks about Darfur anymore. Then again, hardly anyone wanted to talk about it while the genocide there was in full force.
Hillary and Barack: The 3am Failure
Larry Johnson, of No Quarter USA outlines with even more details, what happened on September 11 – 12:
The 3AM phone call came, but it was not at 3AM. The phone rang a little after 1600 Lima (that’s military jargon for local) in Washington, D.C. And Hillary Clinton, David Petraeus and Barack Obama failed to answer. Their failure facilitated the deaths of Americans. In my opinion, they have blood on their hands.
Now let’s turn to Barack Obama. One hour into the attack on the “Consulate,” he met with SecDef Panetta and General Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. I can understand not wanting to put an F-18 or F-16 for a bombing run. Those aircraft cannot do precision bombing in a dangerous close situation. But there reportedly was an AC-130H Spectre gunship available. That weapon would have made a difference.
How do I know? I have good friends who flew and commanded units flying those birds. The Spectre can shoot the testicle hairs off of a gnat and are particularly effective during night time ops. Tyrone Woods had identified the mortar. This means the mortar had fired more than one round. The mortar team had a spotter and were adjusting fire. Woods reportedly lasered the mortar. That means a Spectre could have come on scene and taken it out.
Obama refused to give the order to use that weapon. He was too worried about his own election and did not give a damn about the U.S. forces in danger. The phone was ringing and Barack refused to answer the call. As a result of his failure to act, two former Navy SEALS paid the ultimate price for his cowardice. Damn you Barack Obama. Damn you.

Why Benghazi matters
For those put off by the posts today about Obama, Benghazi, and the fallout, I should explain.
I’m former military, Navy. (Senior Service!) It gave me a direction that I never had growing up (through no fault of my parents). My Master Corporal in Basic likened it to, “We do in 10 weeks, what your parents wouldn’t do in 20 years.” You know what? He was right.
The aforementioned folks saved my week four letter that basically whines, “I wish I hadn’t done this! I want to be back working at McDonalds!”
I went in at 156lbs and came out 175. I swear I grew 2 inches. Friends who knew me less than six months earlier asked, “When did you get shoulders?”
After graduation, I was all, “Yes, sir. Yes, ma’am.” when talking to civilians. It was a discovery of respect. Respect for myself. Respect for others. Respect for the chain of command.
I knew I didn’t know as much as my superiors, therefore I learned to trust them because the training gave me no other option. I had to depend on them to know what the heck they were doing or the whole thing broke down. A military outfit does not want the “whole thing broke down”.
The revelations today about Benghazi are devastating to people like me because it means that the whole thing broke down. It means that those in command didn’t know what to do. It means that they lost control, or worse, deemed the lives of those people less important than the political ramifications.
This is not and can not be acceptable. There is no justification for ambivalence or inaction when the capabilities to respond are at hand. There is no intelligence valuable enough to sacrifice people involuntarily.
President Obama failed his SecStates 3am test and people died.
I hope that Americans don’t fail in their duty. They need to send a message to their gov’t, their military and the world that this day of self-inflicted infamy won’t happen again.
The Western World the Greeks gave us requires a strong US.

It’s Probably Nothing
China’s military spending has been rapidly spiraling upward, and the growing amounts are unnerving Beijing’s Asian neighbors and policy planners in the Pentagon, who are openly wary about the country’s long-term intentions.
