Justin Trudeau: Canadian Handgun Salesman Of The Year

CBC;

“You get a lot of people that as soon as they announce new gun control measures, everyone wants to go in and buy a gun,” said Dan Shemley, warehouse manager of Great North Precision Canada, which sells firearms in Kelowna, B.C. […]

He says the store had sold out of all the handguns it had by noon on Tuesday.

Daybreak South producers called three other stores that sell handguns in the Kelowna area this week and all of them said they were extremely busy.

On Tuesday, a line of customers had formed on the street outside Reliable Gun, a firearms store in Vancouver, B.C. Reliable Gun’s website now has a note posted saying the store is closed until further notice as staff “works relentlessly to get all the current orders processed.”

CBC News reached out to Reliable Gun but did not receive a response.

Show Me The Man, I’ll Show You The Gun Crime

If America had the same laws that Trudeau is promising, Hunter Biden would never have been able to lie on a Form 4473 in his illegal purchase of a handgun. His girlfriend wouldn’t have had the opportunity to drop it in a garbage can across the street from a school, and law enforcement wouldn’t have had to stonewall an investigation into Joe Biden’s son lying on a background check — a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

He’d have just bought it off the street. Like his drugs.

Freezing sparky cars

Maybe EVs should come with a small propane heater for your trip. If Shiny Pony has his way, a winter car ride is going to become a race to arrive at your destination before hypothermia sets in.

But it wasn’t just the duration of the journey that was appalling – the temperature during the journey was anything but funny: the heating stayed off for almost the entire return journey in freezing temperatures: Because the colder it is, the more the operation of the heating systems puts a strain on the electric car battery.

For the trip, Brack covered herself with a hat, scarf, gloves and generally warm clothing, because after the first full charge, the VW e-Up shows a range of just 216 kilometers. And even this information is not guaranteed, which is why Brack opts for the so-called Eco-Plus mode and, of course, for the heating to be switched off. When the windscreen is frosty, heating wires ensure a clear view, so the reporter driving the test can do without the power-guzzling fan heater completely.

Public Safety Canada- Departmental Plan 2022–23

Tragically, serious and violent crime involving firearms remains a reality in our communities. In 2022-23, Public Safety Canada will continue taking bold action to fulfill new and existing commitments on firearms. That will include introducing measures to crack down on high capacity magazines, protect Canadians from domestic firearms violence, raise penalties for gun smuggling and trafficking, and bolster the capacity of enforcement agencies to detect and disrupt the flow of illegal firearms.

CBC- Renowned gunsmith killed in Toronto police raid

Hearing about Rodger being near guns wasn’t unusual — he was a world-renowned gunsmith, known as one of the best in Canada and someone local police officers trusted to fix their firearms, according to people who knew him.

Toronto Police Service said that day at noon — in broad daylight — its officers carried out a search warrant on the property. It’s unclear what information they had and how many officers were at the scene, but the service said it was looking for guns. Family said no warrant was left behind.

They say Toronto police brought their own ambulance and paramedics with them when they first arrived…

There’s a lot of question marks here.

Then They Came For The Sprinkles

BBC- A bakery has had to stop producing its bestselling biscuit after officials found the treats were topped with illegal sprinkles.

Owner Rich Myers branded the decision “ridiculous” and said alternative sprinkles on the market were “rubbish”. He said he sourced the US-made cake toppers from a UK-based wholesaler, adding that other products on the market were not as good. “British sprinkles are rubbish,” he said. “They run and aren’t bake-stable. The colours aren’t vibrant and they just don’t look very good.”

Coyote attacks five-year-old child in Stanley Park

Conservation officers are urging the public to avoid Stanley Park after a boy was injured in yet another coyote attack in the popular downtown Vancouver park.

According to the B.C. Conservation Officer Service, the five-year-old boy was with his family for a walk at Prospect Point around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and was running ahead “when a coyote lunged and bit him on the leg.”

This is the latest in a string of coyote attacks at Stanley Park in recent months, and the second one involving a young child.

Rangers will be installing more signs in the park to warn the public of the risk of coyote encounters, said spokeswoman Christine Ulmer,

Maybe they need to hire more social workers for the coyotes.
