From a new NBER working paper by Alessandro Acquisti & Catherine Tucker. I’ve also been struck by the fact that compared to other industrialized countries the US has low robbery rates and especially so relative to burglaries.
Prog heads exploding.
The first (and only) comment at the article is a prog with an exploding head concern trolling about “harms”.
No one in the gun control scam gives a single tiny F about crime, victims or the murdered children. All BS, all the time. Del Duca would like to ban handguns to make enforcing his mandatory vaxx policy easier.
Phantom, Del Duca is a lib, and libs pine for always greater control over the peasants. They know they are limited in their ability to control us when we have firearms. You can’t control an armed populace without their consent. It’s all part of their plans to keep up pressure, plus stigmatize firearms to reduce ownership until there are no legally owned firearms in the whole of the country. Then the public will be kept fearful by the criminals and demanding the government protect them from those criminals. There is a symbiotic relationship between the government and criminals, that is why they ban firearms for legal owners but have no desire to put teeth in our laws for criminal control. They need criminals to increase and enable their control of the peasants IMO. Just my ten cents worth.
Has more to do with the people there. Detroit’s demographics and crime are a lot more like Rio’s.

The same thing happened in Florida with car jackings. Soon as people were carrying, car jackings dropped precipitously – and so did quite a few homeys.
