The Kansas City Star- Deputies won’t go to non-emergency calls because of gas prices, Michigan sheriff says
“We have exhausted what funds were budgeted for fuel with several months to go before the budget reset,” Main’s post said, according to TV station WDIV. “I have instructed the deputies to attempt to manage whatever calls are acceptable over the phone,” including “non-life-threatening calls,” “non-in-progress calls,” and calls that don’t “require evidence collection or documentation.”

A hundred law suits have said that police are under no obligation to protect the public. It is 100% your obligation to defend yourself. In Canada the police deny you the means to do so. I live out in the boonies. I have a big mean dog and a gun handy because the cops would take half an hour to get there and as they are RCMP they would likely get lost a couple times on the way.
Or just stop to shoot up the Volunteer Fire Hall.
“… I have a big mean dog and a gun…”
So all you need in a backhoe.
Reward for the dog.

REASON #2
Because I can’t throw a rock 2300 feet per second.

More like 3200+ fps with 55 gr.

OOPs… must’ve fat fingered that one.
FWIW… once saw a buddy of mine shoot .223 from a
Mini-14 at quarter inch mild steel plate. It melted
holes in the plate… looked like laser hits from a
sci-fi movie.

Nice!
Don’t tell any Serial killer, But if I were shot, I would rather be shot with an AR-15.
The bullet goes so fast unless it hits your heart or head you will probably survive. Troop standing in front of me at chow didn’t know he had been wounded until we saw blood in his tightly laced Nam boots. Friend who was shot 7 times over Working Disputes. shit, in California.
Intensive care 1 month, Survived. AR-15.
But if it is a 45, 9mm or 12 Guage tell mama you won’t be coming home.
The US is on the verge of going back to a bigger cartridge, somewhere between the 5.56 x 45 and the 7.62 x 51. Wars in the desert tested the range of the 5.56. The 5.56 was adopted for jungle war where contact was often in single meters.
6.5mm seems to be the way to go. We coulda had a .280 FN FAL, but Nooooo…
True, but in a home invasion with your own family members in other rooms, you have to worry about rounds over penetrating, so its a bit of a balancing act.

Rocks 2300 fps.
Ha, that’s some funny Shifft.

“Ha, that’s some funny Shifft.”
Not if some f@cked up junkie’s coming through your
bedroom window at 3am with a rusty screwdriver…
and all you have in your hand is your pecker.

A Louisville Slugger works wonders in that situation.
Unless there’s two assailants with rusty screwdrivers.

“A Louisville Slugger works wonders in that situation.”
Yeah… think I’d rather ‘reach out and touch someone’ than
get splattered with blood, teeth and hair.
Call me squeamish.

Nunchucks.
Yeah but the potential victims are allowed to use deadly force to protect their property, loved one and themselves.
In Canada…well……
They could send some social workers.

RE: Mass shooter Gabriel Wortman in Nova Scotia…

Social Worker’s going out to the projects with Masters Degrees in Gender Studies.
Trying to get a drug fueled sex murder to drop his emotional erection and unload his gun,
Yeah I’d pay money to see that?
Well, as long as they use the proper pronouns over the phone.
So they are following the example of the Toronto Police, who are happy to tell you that if it’s not an emergency, you should call back during regular business hours in order to file a report, so that they can give you a code number to give to your insurance company.
/ask me how I know
The strange thing is that the whole premise behind allowing the state to provide police protection was that if the state can’t do it, you can do it yourself. The citizens agreed to permit the state to provide police services but it was always on the understanding that it would do so and if it didn’t, the citizens absolutely had the right of self defence.
Yep. The social contract isn’t much of a contract anymore when one side unilaterally changes it all the time. “To enslave and persecute.” Saw that on a Toronto Police car yesterday. Maybe.
I don’t own one – yet? – but the problem with an Armalite Rifle and its typical ammo is that its high velocity. You may hit what you want, but it may go through them and scare a catty or a dog.
Although if Chico and the Men are standing behind each other then you can save some money with a two-for or even a three-for. Of course maybe you have a 7.62 so you can make really big holes as well.
I think a pistol might be a better option in an interior situation.
Joe Pooh says a shotgun is good and who am I to argue with such a sharp mind.
If the state can’t or won’t protect you, your loved ones or just innocent strangers, then as a law-abiding citizen I believe you are duty-bound to offer serious self-defence if you can do so.
But if Canadian cops need help, fuk em.
A scattergun with a slug in the shell offers some hefty stopping power.
Good for close quarters.
You can put pretty much anything in a shell that fits , get creative and let your imagination run wild.
The Russians build a nifty sub-sonic, 9x39mm round, firing a 280gr bullet from a suppressed carbine, muzzle velocity about 950fps, IIRC. Only weighs 5.5lb, to boot, tasked for special ops and urban warfare, but select fire in case of…trouble, accurate to about 200 yards.
“feeling the pain at the pump ”
Old widows can’t pay electric bills. Drivaround cars with the windows rolled down trying to save gasoline, 97 degrees outside. Sick, can’t afford medicine.
GLOBAL WARMING BS, DON’T know what your next month electric bill is going to be, Expecting more, And Biden says this is to be a painful transition.
‘ MURDERING TURD. ‘
Use the gasoline we have left to burn the Socialist Sons Bitches.
A number of studies have shown that rolling down windows in modern cars actually increases gas consumption. They are designed to run efficiently with a/c on.
But yet the feds still collect the $100 a/c excise tax per car which was intended to reduce gas useage back in the early 70’s.
The feds are addicted to tax revenue and have never seen a tax that doesn’t give them a never ending wet dream

If thats the case…as I used to but do not watch FOX anymore, one wonders why that incontinent sack of shit doesn’t approve Keystone XL…??
I like Tucker on FOX, and Ezra Levant. But we both know that they are both controlled opposition, at the limit of what the controllers will allow.
The frame of the Overton Window, if you will. Now look at the left frame, if you dare:

I won’t mention salon, slate, the daily beast, the cbc.
We need to go really deep into Libertarianland to move the window one inch.
Its funny and tragic how scared people are of the possibility of not having the state to keep away their nightmares, the same nightmares that they live every day anyway. Like the shot, it would be so much worse without it, right?
HiHo
go along the maternal side of Murdoch’s family tree and you get to Greene, and that is not menonite
Carlson’s show pays for much of Fox’s other programming. He can do and say what he likes as long as that’s the case. If there is one Fox employee who can tell the Murdoch boys to pound sand, it’s TC.
Canadian operations and pipelines aren’t controlled by the Rockefellers. Hence the need to shut them in.
because Keystone XL is dead, and every person who is associated with it was released or reassigned, and the owner took a huge write down.
Defuel the Police!

Another picture his media couldn’t find.
Oh, man, that hurt.
When was this taken? During his “teaching” career?
not sure what’s more disturbing, the foreground, or the background…
I read that you don’t need an AR15. You really need an AK47.
Because commoners with AK47’s defeated the US Military in Vietnam, Afghanistan and a couple of other places.
Split the difference and buy an AR-15 chambered in 7.62×39. Best of both worlds?
In 1974 the godless Russian bastards switched to 5.45×39 sissier than the 5.56.
Next they are going to say their coffee and doughnut allotments have run out and officers are fainting in the hallways.
bverwey
You don’t need an AR-15 at home. Or in Canada a Kodiak WK180. You need a 12 Ga shotgun loaded with birdshot (not slugs or buckshot). Overpenetration in the heat of the moment will get your family or neighbor killed. 12 Ga no. 6 will tear a giant hole in a perp at distances inside a house. But it won’t go through the next 3 houses.
AR-15 is perfect if you’re engaging an enemy at 50-200 yards. So maybe someone living in the middle of nowhere, SK.
Even if they totally outlaw center fire semi-auto like in UK and Australia, .308 bolts will remain legal. Those are even worse than an AR in terms of killing innocent people by accident. Never fire a rifle in a residential area. Use a shotgun, or a 9mm carbine.
