  1. A hundred law suits have said that police are under no obligation to protect the public. It is 100% your obligation to defend yourself. In Canada the police deny you the means to do so. I live out in the boonies. I have a big mean dog and a gun handy because the cops would take half an hour to get there and as they are RCMP they would likely get lost a couple times on the way.

  7. The strange thing is that the whole premise behind allowing the state to provide police protection was that if the state can’t do it, you can do it yourself. The citizens agreed to permit the state to provide police services but it was always on the understanding that it would do so and if it didn’t, the citizens absolutely had the right of self defence.

    1. A number of studies have shown that rolling down windows in modern cars actually increases gas consumption. They are designed to run efficiently with a/c on.

      But yet the feds still collect the $100 a/c excise tax per car which was intended to reduce gas useage back in the early 70’s.

  17. You don’t need an AR-15 at home. Or in Canada a Kodiak WK180. You need a 12 Ga shotgun loaded with birdshot (not slugs or buckshot). Overpenetration in the heat of the moment will get your family or neighbor killed. 12 Ga no. 6 will tear a giant hole in a perp at distances inside a house. But it won’t go through the next 3 houses.

    AR-15 is perfect if you’re engaging an enemy at 50-200 yards. So maybe someone living in the middle of nowhere, SK.

    Even if they totally outlaw center fire semi-auto like in UK and Australia, .308 bolts will remain legal. Those are even worse than an AR in terms of killing innocent people by accident. Never fire a rifle in a residential area. Use a shotgun, or a 9mm carbine.
