A California sheriff’s office had to rescue three stranded men who used AI to help them climb Mount Shasta. To be fair to AI Gemini, the app did recommend that climbers start the ascent at 12 noon. But the klutzy hikers started off at 7 p.m., then got lost in the dark on the way down. The sheriff did however called the three young men “novice climbers”.
