Is Our Diversities Learing?

Stewart Bell;

The top lieutenant of the Indian gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar arrived in Canada in 2017, ostensibly to attend Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, B.C.

But it is “unknown” if he ever went to class, records show.

Instead, he helped Bishnoi expand his criminal organization into Canada, allegedly instigating high-profile murders, a political assassination and an extortion crisis.

A classified intelligence report obtained by Global News reveals the Bishnoi gang’s Canadian franchise has relied heavily on Indian youths who, like Brar, entered the country on student visas.

Written by the Canada Border Services Agency, the report cites the gang’s “growing operational presence in Canada” and “demonstrated use of Canada’s immigration programs for criminal purposes.”

“Investigations increasingly identify Indian foreign nationals on study permits and work permits as participants in these organized criminal activities,” the CBSA’s Intelligence and Investigations Directorate wrote.

“The sustained expansion of Bishnoi-linked extortions and the involvement of student permit and work permit holders raises significant concerns for CBSA operations.”

When The FBI Does It, That Means That It’s Not Illegal

Matt Margolis;

The president exercised his constitutional authority to fire an FBI director, and the FBI responded by opening a counterintelligence investigation into him.

The key document is a declassified FBI “Opening Electronic Communication,” dated May 16, 2017, exactly one week after Trump fired Comey on May 9. It authorized a full investigation into the sitting president of the United States under the codename “Oxferd Comma.” No, that’s not a typo. Don’t ask me why it’s spelled that way. […]

So what was the “articulable factual basis” for treating a duly elected president as a suspected Russian asset? Trump’s conversations with Comey. The document claims Trump “sought Comey’s personal loyalty” and “asked Comey to publicize the fact that the President was not the subject of an FBI investigation.” It also states that Trump “asked Comey to do what he could to resolve the investigations.”

That’s it. That’s the smoking gun. A president asked why the FBI wouldn’t publicly admit what it privately told him, that he wasn’t under investigation, and the bureau treated the question as evidence of a Kremlin conspiracy.

John Solomon has a summary. Download the docs here.

Hawaiian Punch

Caught on video.

A Hawaiian man knocked out a Democratic congressional candidate with one punch after he allegedly threatened to shoot a woman at a Maui beach.

Police say Kirill Basin, 40, became enraged after a 61-year-old man asked him to lower his music.

Basin allegedly threatened to shoot the man’s wife and several bystanders.

A local man seen approaching in the background confronted Basin, knocked him out, then calmly told him to stop threatening people.

Police say Basin later pulled a knife and continued threatening people. […]

Basin was charged with two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening. Bail was set at $1 million.

The Sanya Initiative

Top American Generals Joined a CCP Spy Front’s Backchannel;

For more than a decade, former chairmen of the Joint Chiefs, combatant commanders, Cabinet officials and members of Congress participated in a military dialogue organized with a Chinese group identified by congressional investigators as a front engaged in “intelligence collection” and “propaganda and perception management.” Some ended up on China’s payroll shortly after.

The Chinese Communist Party did not need to penetrate the Pentagon to gain access to America’s military leadership.

It built a private network around it. […]

The American participants included:

Gen. Peter Pace, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
Adm. William “Bill” Owens, former Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
Gen. John Abizaid, former commander of U.S. Central Command
Gen. Raymond Odierno, former Army Chief of Staff
Adm. Jonathan Greenert, former Chief of Naval Operations
Adm. Timothy Keating, former commander of U.S. Pacific Command
Gen. Ronald Fogleman, former Air Force Chief of Staff
Gen. Dennis Reimer, former Army Chief of Staff
Adm. Joseph Prueher, former commander of U.S. Pacific Command
Gen. John Keane, former Vice Chief of Staff of the Army
Gen. Walter Sharp, former commander of U.S. Forces Korea
Gen. Charles Jacoby, former commander of U.S. Northern Command
Gen. Charles Wilhelm, former commander of U.S. Southern Command

The program was called the Sanya Initiative.

Its glossy brochures framed it as a peaceful exchange between retired American and Chinese generals. Photographs showed senior officers chatting in Hawaiian shirts, touring military institutions and sitting across from Chinese commanders in ornate meeting rooms.

But the initiative was not organized with an ordinary veterans’ association.

It was funded by the China-United States Exchange Foundation, or CUSEF, and conducted with the China Association for International Friendly Contact, or CAIFC.

Congressional investigators have described CAIFC as “a front organization” for the People’s Liberation Army’s former General Political Department.

The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission found that the group performed the dual roles of “intelligence collection” and “conducting propaganda and perception management campaigns.”

Moonlighting

A discarded SpaceX Falcon 9 upper stage is set to collide with the moon on Wednesday, Aug. 5, in an unplanned impact that’s expected to create a fresh crater and send a towering plume of debris into space.

(The livestreams were junk, so I’ve removed the embed.)

Morning update: The wait for images goes on as SpaceX rocket believed to have hit Moon

The “W” Word

Leo Pier;

A year ago, I went looking for something like a Great Replacement Tracker — a site that aggregated all the demographic data for the West and could tell me how bad things really were. To my surprise, I couldn’t find one. So six months ago, I started building it myself.

Today, I’m announcing the first live version of the Great Replacement Clock. It tracks the European-descended share of the world’s population and of 45 historically White countries. It consolidates historical figures and modeled projections into a single interactive timeline — sourced, auditable, and methodologically transparent.
