Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

That 41% differential between us and the U.S. would certainly pay for some world class healthcare.
Seems like socialism is a lot more expensive than people think it is.
And imagine how much farther ahead the USA would be if they didn’t pay out a trillion a year to scammers.
Socialism is indeed far too expensive for what its true worth is and so is the false capitalism we’ve been laboring under. If things go well and even partially according to plan, we will be doing even better, although there will be rough spots ahead due to the arrayed opposition, which is going to put up a very hard fight.
Socialism is expensive—and ugly; it promises Sidney Sweeney, but you end up getting Greta Thunberg.
The biggest part of the 41% deficiency was created under the Liberals. Is there as clear an example of someone deliberately trashing an economy as well as Trudeau and company?
Open question: Assuming that the Lieberal bastards’ intent was not to actually crater our economy (work with me here…), among other things, what would they have done differently if they actually wanted to crater our economy?
I suppose 30% of that difference in disposable income is due to Canada’s deliberate dollar devaluation. But the rest of it is explained by the HIGH value of fixed costs; housing, taxes, fees, food, tolls, insurance, etc. The government is bleeding the consumer dry … because … why shouldn’t the government get a healthy cut of your income … because you didn’t build that. You all OWE most of your income to the State. You wouldn’t even HAVE a job if not for the government … Right?
Having said that … my disposable income is probably much closer to Canada than the USA. Because I live in CA. I know for certain that when I move to TN … my disposable income will increase exponentially.
And yet … when you compare apple-to-apple Canadian lifestyle to American they are all but indistinguishable. Same housing, same vehicles, same level of health and fitness, same oil rigs, same railroads, highways, airports and on, and on. You might say, the Americans have been copying us. 😉
Or not.
