The Libranos: Chump Change

This will teach them dirty Liberals;

A former campaign manager and longtime political aide to Liberal MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith (Beaches-East York, Ont.) has been cited for multiple violations of the Elections Act. Breaches included falsifying records: ‘He was the official agent.’

“The initial amount of the AMP set out in the Notice of Violation was $500. The final amount, upon the Commissioner’s review, was reduced to $300. A mitigating factor was applied taking into account Andrew Goodridge’s ability to pay the amount of the penalty.

Elbows Up, Comrades

We sure were lucky to get this new Governor.

Think food inflation in Canada is high? You haven’t seen anything yet.

New food inflation data will be released Tuesday, February 17. Early signals suggest January’s rate could come in around 6.2% — a significant acceleration.

Meanwhile, in the United States, despite tariff pressures and ongoing trade tensions, food inflation eased to 2.9%, down from 3.1% in January.

That gap matters.

Things You Won’t See on the CBC or CNN

Anita Krishna is an independent Vancouver-based journalist who worked for Global News and other legacy news outlets for over two decades. She pushed back against the Covid narrative and was fired on January 18, 2022.

In this video, she reviews recent commentary by Asmongold about Canadians being weak. More accurately, both of them point out the obvious: The majority of Canadians and the majority of American Democrats are weak and exceptionally ignorant. Are the two traits related? You decide.

Our Chinese-Installed Governor In Ottawa

He uses up a lot of words to say, “Yes, just like China.”

How Far Will the Elbows Up Crowd Let Canada’s Downfall Continue?

Brian Lilley wrote a simple editorial stating the obvious: Both John-Paul Danko and Mark Carney should issue a public apology to Jamil Jivani.

The comments on the webpage, plus on Facebook, were both predictable and sad. The elbows up crowd didn’t disappoint with their usual TDS-powered drivel.

Thought experiment: If left-leaning Canadians were asked whether the Carney government should start treating their biggest customer with respect or seriously risk a disastrous outcome for the Canadian economy, would a vast majority of them respond with some version of Orange Man Bad? In other words, burn it all down in Canada, because we’re the righteous few fighting modern day Nazis. Are they REALLY willing to go all the way to economic disaster?!?

Our Chinese-Installed Governor In Ottawa

It’s his nature.

As the foreign interference inquiry found:

“The People’s Republic of China (PRC) targets members of Chinese Canadian diaspora communities for the purposes of repression, influence and forced return of targeted individuals to the PRC.

“It deploys a wide range of tradecraft to carry out its activities, one of which is to use a person’s family and friends living in the PRC as leverage against them.

“The PRC uses its diplomatic missions, PRC international students, community organizations and private individuals, among others, to carry out its transnational repression activities.”

Given that, why does the recent trade deal between Canada and China lifting some tariffs on EVs, canola and other products include a joint statement to strengthen law enforcement cooperation between us in the name of “public safety and security”?

Money For Nothing

Why spend $6 million to lecture people on how to be more productive? Will this “partnership” take a look at the productivity destroying structure of supply mismanagement, or how Dougie Ford’s embargo on Crown Royal has much the same effect? I somehow doubt it.

The federal government has announced a $6 million grant aimed at improving Canada’s economic productivity through a cross-country research partnership.

The funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada is to be spread out over 15 years.

Landslide In Japan

Another major world leader elected on the issue of migration.

Japan’s ruling party, led by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, is set to seal a decisive win in Sunday’s snap election, exit polls suggest.[…]

Some called the snap election a big gamble after the LDP lost its majority in both houses of parliament, and its decades-old coalition with the Komeito party had collapsed.

But Takaichi’s personal popularity appears to have helped the party, with approval ratings for her government mostly hovering above 70%.

The LDP is projected to win 274 of 465 seats in the House of Representatives, according to a poll by broadcaster NHK.

While Canada remains in our support role of cautionary tale.
