A Liberal MP allegedly just called a Conservative MP a Nazi/Hitler sympathizer simply because he went down to meet the Trump Administration to try to help Canada.
What do you think they’re going to do/say to you as your Independence Movement goes forward?!

Ah, the irony. If you research Unity Mitford, it is speculated that she picked up her fascist beliefs in a tiny little town in Ontario where her father owned gold mine. The name of the town was Swastika, Ontario. The Liberal MP is from Ontario, so I believe that makes him just as guilty.
And, also, ironically, Unity shared a bedroom with her younger sister, Jessica. Jessica was an adamant supporter of Communism. Unity had swastikas and pictures of Hitler on her side of the room (which was divided by a chalk line). Jessica decorated her side of the room with hammer and sickles.

Daily polls showing how poorly we’re doing, like the recent poll showing a majority here not wanting to separate then upon seeing who they’d polled, had those seniors who are dependent on miniscule federal gov’t pensions being weighted much more than the youth who see their future as being serfs at Ottawa’s disposal.
Opinions and ficitous stories told as truth, that all show, which all PROVE we’re going to die from not being Canadian, and how we should be vilified for “breaking up their country”, how they’ll blockade our resources from export, meanwhile they’ll be importing their regular shipments of garbage from China via rail through AB.
They may try to grant citizenship to those who are in AB so they can vote “for Canada”.
You want to know how to stop the separation referendum dead in its tracks? It’s so easy….
Give Alberta the fairness in governance which is given to other provinces. Make the Senate equal between all provinces, give us seats chosen by Albertans on the SCOC like Quebec has, give us equal representation in the House of Commons, not 1 MP for 140k citizens for AB, and 1 MP for 45k citizens like PEI, not 1 MP for 80k citizens like the 3 other Atlantic provinces and Manitoba and Sask. There’s a national census every decade, the feds know how many people live in each prov. by June of that year.
Give us fair value for our tax dollars and respect the referendum in AB which was passed by 62% indicating we wanted to open up the equalization plan that the welfare dependencies deem as their birthright.
Start there, and the referendum will be lucky to gain 20% in favor of separation.
But Canada won’t offer fairness, at best they offer “negotiations” which would take decades! because Canada is nation of cowards which prefers to have mother Ottawa hold their hand and believe all things not Laurentian are against Canada.
The east will plant “Victory Gardens” where their front lawns were so they don’t starve in the cold winters to come, and blame us for their inability to figure out how to grow a crop of potato and carrots.
The fun fact is that Canada is in it’s current form cannot financially sustain the level of government spending even with the “contribution” given by Alberta.
Its just a matter of time.

If we vote for separation we have to be gone the net day. Then we negotiate.
The legislation as it stands outlines a way forward if negotiations don’t start immediately after a postitive referendum result, and that leads to a declaration of independence. I’d much prefer a declaration over protracted negotiations.
I expect there will be some within Canada who will press for negotiations, I’ve said previously that Old Canada has had decades to get this done, and to offer fairness to the west, and we’re not going to wait for negotiations to take place as citizens of Alberta already know Canada’s game, and those negotiations will last for a decade.
Alberta has greatly overcontributed and under utilized (we’re a “young” province) the Canada Pension Plan… I expect the worst on that file, but hopefully if Old Canada pulls a stunt like this (negotiating for years or making a low-ball offer) and we’ll have the balls to walk away from their total accrued debt and the entirety of old Canada can look for marc in calgary’s ass to kiss.
Then, the recognition from the USA becomes super important….

An old meme in the U.S is.. “If you shoot a burglar, make sure the police only get your side of the story..”. The west went out of their way to make sure that dialogue with Putin was impossible. When Trump tried to open dialogue with him, the left went absolutely apoplectic. They shunned, shamed, and everything else they could to muddy the water.. but, why? If you want to end the war on any terms other than Putins, why not use diplomacy? We know why.. now.. The thing about it is, they do this to instill fear of crossing the line and opening dialogue amongst mushy independents, but more importantly, the ‘impressionable’ (reasonable) groups within their own ranks.. Marx forbid, the other guy sounds.. reasonable.. human.. Bill Maher, for all his faults, is a prime example of this. He learned the hard way, and against all warnings, after dining with Trump that there is only current party doctrine, or fascists, heretics, and apostates who need liquidating.. to dialogue with fascists, is to be tainted by them.

The west wants respect and due to repetitive abuses the west has had enough and is laying the groundwork to make a clean break.
And the response from “our betters” is to call them traitors or worse not sea.
However, Quebec has had separatists sitting as MP’s and no one in Ottawa has made any efforts to curtail them much less direct the same level of scorn or even suggest the separatists in Quebec are traitors.
But in the end, the strategy of heaping scorn on the west as a way to change their mind is going to do nothing but drive support for separation up.

Plus, Madame Dougie says Pierre doesn’t love him like Carney, so it’s time for a separation. All we need now is to p*ss if Trump for another couple of months and the stage is set for a Spring Election.

I will happily vote for separation but I would never put my name and address on a petition to separate. Look what they did to people who simply donated to the truckers.
And this is one of several reasons why the separation bid will fail. This race was lost before it even began, because the team’s runners fear the course.
I asked when I signed the petition at the Big Four Building in Calgary a couple weeks past… and was told the signatures will be verified by Elections Alberta, they may check each signature, maybe every second or third? nobody knows yet and they have 21 days to conduct the verification process.
The petitions go to Edmonton, not to the garbage people in Ottawa, and the federal gov’t doesn’t get to see who signed.
When Venezuela voted in a recall referendum to unseat President Chavez, it was supposed to be a secret list, it turned into “The Tascon List” and the signers were virtually unemployable after that. I don’t know if Canada wants to be known as “Venezuela of the North” …
Canada has already crossed that Rubicon, Marc.. The ugly truth is that Castrudeau won.. he imposed an unhealthy fear of standing up to governmental tyranny through brute force, and it worked.. he cowed a populace that likely put such Venezuelan strongman tactics well beneath their enlightened ‘liberal’ government. Yes, the FCA savaged Ottawa’s (*Castrudeau’s*) atrocious overreach, but that’s cold comfort.. the damage has been done. So Ralph60’s concerns are not unfounded, for sure, and there is safety in hiding behind those who are willing to take the risks and do the heavy lifting, but fortune favors the bold, or so I’ am told. The problem is, those concerns are likely shared by thousands of others, undermining AB’s chance at liberation from an abusive relationship. Rest assured, their fates would be no worse than the Iranian protestors for standing up to be counted, but their regrets, should the initiative fail due to falling short on signatories, may very well linger for the rest of their lives.
I’m thinking mass arrests are not off the table. That’s how they roll.
