At coffee this week one of the seniors was going on and on and on about how disgusting and cruel anyone who didn’t give their kid measles jab are. He said “I don’t want to get measles because of some antivaxxer!”
I pointed out since he was born before 1980 he is automatically assumed from a medical perspective to have had measles as a child and be naturally immune. Therefore he has no reason to worry about measles. I suggested he go get a measles titre, a simply blood test. I got it. He can know he’s safe and in the extremely unlikely event he tests negative for measles antibodies he can get a booster. His brain simply could not accept this. He is so stuck on evil selfish antivaxxers that he can’t accept facts. Rationality has by passed him. And he’s not alone.
Even before TDS Canadians snottingly believed they were superior to those ignorant Yanks who were deemed too loud, obnoxious and ignorant about the world at large.
They sort of roll up into the same thing.
Try to talk with Canadians that look at Trump likes he’s causing all our problems.
It’s laughable.

I’d say the weakness comes from decades of socialist indoctrination and the expansion of gov’t. Society has been getting trained by the education system and the media to accept the idea that gov’t is the answer to any and all social ills, and that gov’t should take care of us. Once a critical mass believes that, the structure becomes a self-sustaining juggernaut.
Trump has pumped the brakes on this. Canada is accelerating toward the cliff, while the ignorant and stupid scream for Carney to go faster.
Newsflash: Mewling Quims and Nutless Wonders have a lot of power and influence.
Legislating DEI into hiring has permanently entrenched these losers into the dysfunction of the Dystopic Dominion.
