On Alberta, and maybe Saskatchewan, walking away

Brian Crossman: Alberta (and Saskatchewan?) Separation
From the column:
“The list of countries and empires that have broken up over that past several hundred years is not a short one. Sudan split into two countries by referendum in 2011. Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Egypt and Syria and many others. The Soviet Union, the British Empire are gone, the United States came close in 1861, and there is no promise that the republic will endure forever. Will Canada, or the world map look the same in 50 to 100 years? I’m betting not, and it seems pretty arrogant to think otherwise.”
Some may question why is this relevant to Saskatchewan? It is my understanding that recent polling showed support for separation a few weeks ago was 2 per cent higher in Saskatchewan than it is in Alberta. So it’s relevant.
Here’s a thought experiment which could turn into a column: If Alberta and possibly Saskatchewan were to separate – do they really need much of a military? To defend against who, the pot smokers of Vancouver? Do they need a navy? Nope. No water, unless they snag Prince Rupert and Kitimat – which could happen, if the rednecks invade the Left Coast. But even then, no real navy would be needed. Air force? Probably not much of one for that, either. Who are they going to bomb, Timmins, Ont? That’s a lot of money saved right there, on top of ditching equalization.
Conservative MP Bad
Dear Albertans,
A Liberal MP allegedly just called a Conservative MP a Nazi/Hitler sympathizer simply because he went down to meet the Trump Administration to try to help Canada.
What do you think they’re going to do/say to you as your Independence Movement goes forward?!
This is Freedom?
And the Leftist response? “Give me more of the same, big daddy!”
Why is Alberta Being Handled Very Differently than Québec?
A Message for All Albertans
Ask yourself why, in 1995, Canadians reached out to everyone in Québec with great affection & love. Now, in 2026, the usual suspects are calling Albertans treasonous and soon … Far Right, traitors, white supremacists, Nazis, etc.
They view you as “less than”. They view you as serfs who must continue to work hard forever to pay tributes to them out east and in B.C. It’s despicable.
They will use hateful rhetoric to try to coerce you. Then there will be phoney criminal charges against some of you. Then there will be false flag operations, where they pretend that some independence supporters have committed crimes. Then they will use violence against you.
If independence is what you want, you must stay strong, because there are great forces working against you all. Your opponents do not believe in democracy. They do not believe in being honest brokers. All they believe in is power and will refuse to give it up at almost any cost.
Update: It’s early on in the Alberta Independence campaign and already a “journalist” is calling Tamara Lich a “terrorist”.

Bad News for Climate Alarmists
Trigger warning to all of you who have a framed photo of Saint Greta Thunberg above your bed and worship the ground that Al Gore walks upon.
Here’s Hoping…
A lot more needs to fall into place before Quebec independence is a done deal, but with any luck we may finally bring decades of frustrating indecision to a solid conclusion.
But the immolation of the Quebec Liberals only solidifies the likelihood that the Parti Québécois will sweep the province’s 2026 election. Once in power, PQ leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon has promised he will be pulling out all the stops to hold a third referendum on secession from Canada. Quebec’s incumbent government, led by the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) under François Legault, is currently plumbing new depths of unpopularity.

Y2Kyoto: Walkaway
The dumbest generation of CEO’s in history tried to appease the crocodiles:
In a rare display of corporate sanity, Suncor Energy has abruptly cut funding to a climate activist charity peddling “resilience” projects across Indigenous communities. The decision marks a welcome shift away from the company’s years-long flirtation with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) mob.
Suncor had pledged $500,000 to The Resilience Institute, a climate group focused on adapting communities to so-called “climate risks.”
But instead of handing over the cash and patting itself on the back for more hollow virtue signalling, Suncor pulled the plug — quietly, firmly, and without apology.

A “six year attempt” at pleasing their enemies. This may be the dumbest generation of CEO’s in corporate history.
Shell and other leading energy groups have abandoned a six-year-long attempt to define a net zero emissions strategy after being told that such a standard would require them to stop developing new oil and gas fields#ootthttps://t.co/zLb7lte1Z9

Western Canada Secession: Why Does the West stay in Canada?

Alberta exported over $161B worth of products to the US in 2024.
Alberta and Ontario had $15.5B in two way trade in 2022
Saskatchewan exported $29B worth of products and commodities to the US in 2023
No clear data available for Saskatchewan trade numbers with Ontario, but suffice to say trade with the US exceeds trade within Canada.
British Columbia has 19 border crossings with the United States, Alberta has 6, Saskatchewan has 12, and Manitoba has 16. There is just 1 narrow 2 lane road through 1,000 miles of wilderness connecting all of Western Canada with Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces, yet the East rules the lives of Western Canada?
Ontario and Quebec won’t buy oil from Western Canada, preferring to buy from the US, or Saudi Arabia. Even Russian oil is preferred to Canadian oil.
Ottawa will not allow Western Canada to export LNG to other countries, forcing Europe to rely on Russian LNG.
The Liberal government won’t even fight the 100% tariff on Canadian canola.
The only thing Eastern Canada wants from the West are tax dollars which they give to provinces dealing with insolvency.
So why do we stay? What advantage is it to stay part of a government that hobbles us at every level? It’s time Western Canada breaks free from the Stockholm Syndrome that has held us back for over a century. I don’t know exactly what that will look like, but I do know it will be better than what we have now.
Special thanks to Quebec for paving the way forward.

Armstrong Economics- Eric Adams Leaves the Democratic Party
New York City Mayor Eric Adams, the man who fought tooth and nail to maintain sanctuary city status for migrants, has abandoned the Democratic Party. The Democrats have become so deeply unpopular that even Adams does not want to run for mayor under the DNC umbrella of madness.

Truly Apologetic or Just Deceitful Poseurs?
Raised as a Roman Catholic, confessions are a big part of being an adult for me. So I’m very open to forgiving someone for their past transgressions, just like I’d hope they would be willing to forgive me for mine.
In the past year, culminating with Trump’s recent historic victory, several prominent media figures have appeared to do a 180° turn and now tacitly “seem” to be not so anti-Trump and anti-conservative. Only time will tell how sincere they are. Here’s a partial list of those I’m highly skeptical of ever being sincerely sorry:
- Bari Weiss – she owes Tulsi Gabbard a sincere public video apology
- Ana Kasparian
- Joe Scarborough & Mike Brzezinski – insincere swamp creatures who are not sorry for any of their bad behaviour
- Piers Morgan – His condemnation of people against the Covid narrative was truly atrocious
- Chris Cuomo – he owes Joe Rogan a sincere public video apology, and a whole lot of others too

Please share this #WalkAway story with your normie friends & family members.
For the record, it’s a waste of time & energy to share it with the Leftists you know because they HATE Black Women like this who think for themselves.
Has Ana Kasparian Finally Woken Up?
Ana Kasparian is one half of the Young Turks and arguably one of the most infamous TDS-infected Americans. She seems to have recently changed her tune. Only time will tell if this change sticks or she returns to her original programming.

Heh. Score one for Brian Lilley.
Was just sent this video where CBC’s David Cochrane was quit puzzled as to how I could break the story of the NDP pulling out of the coalition agreement before Trudeau’s PMO was even informed.
