Blacklock’s- Pay $35K Cash For Coverage

“Grants of up to $35,000 per journalist will be awarded to support election-focused journalism involving travel that would not have occurred but for the grant,” the Michener Awards Foundation said in a statement. The judges’ panel assigned to approve $35,000 grants is led by Margo Goodhand, a former Winnipeg Free Press editor who once urged Liberals to “stand up to the bullies” in the Conservative Party.

Net Zero: Sooner Or Later, You Run Out Of Other Peoples’ Energy

At WUWT;

After decades of quietly footing the bill for Europe’s grand energy experiments, it appears Norway has finally decided to walk off the stage — or at the very least, slam the door shut on a few cross-border power cables on the way out.

The political crisis rocking Oslo isn’t just about domestic squabbles or ideological posturing. It’s about energy — more specifically, the growing realization that Norway, with its hydro-rich grid, has become the unwilling battery pack for Germany’s failed energy transition. Or as the Germans call it, Energiewende.

And like all grand social experiments conducted with other people’s money, the Norwegians are understandably losing patience. […]

With baseload capacity gutted and dispatchable plants (i.e., fossil fuels) scorned, Germany has become a dangerously energy-dependent neighbor. When the sun doesn’t shine and the wind doesn’t blow, Berlin plugs into the north — namely Norway — and expects the lights to stay on.

And for years, they have. At Norway’s expense.

It’s Probably Nothing

April 2, 2025: Reader Tips

For everyone who grew increasingly fed up with the lies associated with Covid, you will get great satisfaction watching Jim Breuer in his comedy special, Somebody Had to Say It.

Bonus: This recent quote from Walter Kirn was brilliant: “I don’t like my Marxism produced by oligarchs” … in reference to the modern day Democrats and their billionaire backers pretending to be “for the people”.

Your most interesting tips are always appreciated.

47: Special Elections

@FoxNews – President Trump celebrates after Republicans expand their majority in the House with two special election wins in Florida.

Wisconsin Supreme Court: polls just closed. High turn out, *unexpectedly* resulting in a shortage of ballots and registration forms.

Update: Wisconsin Question 1, which adds a Voter ID requirement to the state’s Constitution has passed, the Supreme Court seat looks to be retained by the Democrats.

Personal Observations on Recent Canadian Behaviour

As a Canadian who has called America home for over a decade, I’m in a unique position to observe the zeitgeist in both countries. I happen to be FB friends with an SDA regular. A discussion took place on his FB page that I chimed in on. Here’s what I wrote:

For the past several months, I’ve seen public & private comments from Canadians that is nothing short of H-A-T-R-E-D towards Americans. Completely remove Trump from the equation. What I’ve seen is hatred towards American citizens, criticizing them, their way of life, their values, etc.

While this isn’t “racism” per say, because Americans are not a race, if the same sentiments were directed at Chinese or Indians or Africans, it would be pure racism.

Want to know why I’m not surprised to see this explosion of hatred? Because, living across Canada most of my life, I encountered the same on a fairly regular basis. All that has happened now is that the Liberal Party and their vast propaganda machine have given Canadians permission to open express their “2 minutes of hate”.

Since I’ve become the unwelcome party guest here, I might as well ask a question that I’ve posed to countless Canadians, but have yet to receive a credible answer: Why is any Canadian angry at Elon Musk? I seriously would love an answer to this simple question.
