  1. I’ve noticed that whenever I go to a nearby grocery store, its food bank bin is largely empty. It’s been that way for the past few months and I’m sure that it’s because people are having financial difficulties.

    However, there was at least one video in which a “refugee”, someone with a job that pays a respectable salary, is telling his fellow “refugees” where to get free food. In other words, all they have to do is go to the local food bank and plead poverty. I’m sure a lot of customers at that store saw that and are reacting accordingly.

    The food packages that we contributed were for those in genuine need, not to feed freeloaders and grifters who’re too cheap or lacking in scruples to buy their own.

    Gee, thanks, Trudeau. Oh, and thank you, as well to the man who “advised” you, Marx Carnage.

    1. “Food Bank Bin” ? Largely empty? Wha wha whaaaat? There are bins of FREE FOOD in Canadian supermarkets? Ohhhhhhhh mommmaaaaaaaa the breadlines of capitalism are coming from INSIDE the house!

      1. Let’s put it this way: I haven’t made any contributions to it lately, nor have I seen anybody else do it, either.

        Then again, I don’t see the local food bank truck stop by there to collect the contributions as often as it used to.

        That same store also has a problem with shoplifting. Before the phony plague, there were two entrances. One of them was closed to “prevent spreading” but has remained so due to theft. Several years ago, there were private security guards on site, so it is a serious matter.

        According to one of the clerks, there’s at least one incident a week at that store. I was there when something happened one day.

    2. Took one of my wife’s friends to the food bank about 10 years ago (single mother). Saw people loading groceries into brand new BMW’s and Mercedes Benz cars. I guess that’s how they can afford $700 biweekly car payments?

      1. Every drive-up free food distribution during COVID was clogged with Lexus SUV’s and Mercedes driven by nicely dressed Chinese. That’s who qualifies as “poor” here in the SF Bay Area.

        They probably resold all the free food at their family-owned mini-marts.

      2. l did a database project at the hamilton fud banque back in the late 90s.
        l had conversations about me pulling into the parking lot in a 84 cavelier, the clients would pull up in late model minvans.

    3. About a month ago I witnessed a couple at the local food bank, driving a top of the line Kia, the wife was adorned with the usual bag on her head while the husband waited in the car until she was finished shopping

  2. That article, in essence, is using the riff of “10 lost years.”
    You know, the last 10 years of Trudeau gaslighting us with slogans like “We are helping the middle class and those trying to join it” and “we have (stabbed) your back” etc.
    And here is Carney, he being the “grey eminence” advisor through those years, repeating the lies, as instructed.
    Oh, and the Eurasia Group, with Butts, and Carney’s beard (wife), and Evan the sleazebag (and a certaoin D. Barton.)

  4. It’s all by design. Eliminate the middle class. Because po’ folk are easier to contain and control.

  5. Children of government are getting what they deserve, it’s sad and pathetic that many want more of the same.

    If the national socialists win this election then maybe we will be on the fast track to 51st statehood, how could we survive otherwise? Cripple agriculture, destroy industry, and leave natural resources in the ground is Liberal policy, it’s all this Carney clown knows, it’s his track record.

    For the Western provinces leaving would be a genuine twofer,for the Liberal Party.
    Their “Carbon Emissions” would fall off a cliff.
    And they would win every future election in the left overs … Well until the fiscal implosion.

  7. “We’ve got bigger problems than Donald Trump”

    We are in Southern Spain, completely engulfed by waves of vacationers from the British Isles. We counted 12 “Irish” pubs yesterday in a two mile stretch of the beachfront strip.

    With one exception – a fellow from England who had worked in Lethbridge for four years – every conversation follows a wearingly predictable path:

    “Canada? Poor bloody you! Pity what you’re going through with what’s next door!”

    A bearded tub from Glasgow offered this sage advice: “Just kick their bloody arses back across the border!” And when I told him that, in the very unlikely event of an invasion, Canada’s army wouldn’t be very effective, he puffed, “Then just call us, we’ll bloody well do it!” and swaggered down the hallway like a drunken drum major.

    We met a couple on the beach from Portsmouth who simply didn’t believe me when I told them that Canada’s current dire economic sutuation had really nothing to do with Trump; that it was entirely the consequence of an arrogant fool and a nutless opposition. And a quintet of Scottish ladies told us they loved our Canadian accents, with the whispered asides, “Much nicer than, you know, your neighbours’ (accents) “.

    Save for that one exception, none of them have admitted to any problems on their home front while fixated on Trump and the US an ocean away. It is difficult to imagine that pure ignorance is at the core of this. More likely it’s averting their eyes while whistling past their graveyard.
