POTUS 2020: Results Time

Real Clear Politics chart shows votes actually counted [as opposed to early reporting which is based on registered voter turnout] listed by poll closing time. Give it a moment or two to load.

New York Times interactives with county by county breakdowns, including a more restrained version of the election needles.

There’s such a flood of information, I’m not going to try to keep up, other than to share interesting tidbits here and there.

I know there was some nervousness early with these key states, (screencapped just before 9pm Eastern)

Death of Expertise: @CaseyMattox Fox says 89% likely NC going Biden at the same moment NYT says 76% likely NC going Trump. Just now.

@RichLowryMember of a Trump team just called to say that they think that Trump is winning about 70 percent of the Cuban vote in FLA, up from 54 percent in 2016, and that he’s posted huge gains in heavily Venezuelan and Colombian areas/neighborhoods. In short, it’s not just Cubans Final Trafalgar poll of Florida was Trump +3 and they look as though they may have been closest (again).

FYI, I have NO NETWORKS on — no radio and no TV (though I may pull up Bannon’s War Room soon on Youtube). I’m following returns only on my Twitter follows.

CNN is walking back the call on Virginia for Biden. Earlier poll trackers pointed out deep blue Fairfax county is underperforming.

One thing that has everyone in unanimous agreement.

Chinese Yuan is tanking.

Maybe too early… but it’s looking promising.

The night (week?) isn’t over, but the Young Turks are butt hurt and unloading on Dem strategists, and actually doing some decent analysis of Democrat errors.

The shuttles can seat up to six people at a time and can travel at speeds of up to 25 km/h. Typically, the shuttles travel along a pre-programmed route and use sensors and software to detect their surroundings and avoid obstances.

Those sensors proved to be very sensitive during Monday’s test. Light snow, blowing leaves, and even geese that can frequently be found around Tunney’s Pasture brought the shuttle to a halt.

2020 Presidential Election Day: News and Notes

Post will be updated throughout the day. We’ll start things off with results (5 votes) from Dixville Notch, NH.

Neighboring Millsfield was a different story.

Democrats Appear to be Struggling in Wisconsin Early Voting

Red Twitter is a seductive place this morning, with reports of lengthy lines at the polls — a good sign for Republicans. Along with several reports of problems in Pennsylvania with Republican poll watchers being denied access, and Democrat campaign materials in open display at the polls.

A thread on exit polls.

Guys like Cernovich makes Twitter worth the headaches: I only talk to Trump campaign pessimists, the ones who don’t cheerlead. Source just texted: “Turnout is way more than anticipated. At this rate, Trump will be announced winner tonight.”

@jamiedupree While turnout in the city of Cleveland is currently just 48 percent, it is up in some of the suburban areas. But lower turnout in Cuyahoga County than 2016 is probably not on the wish list of Democrats in Ohio.

The 2020 Presidential Election Prediction Thread

As I write this post, Trump is still on stage at his final rally in Grand Rapids, MI. It’s well past midnight and he’s gone totally off script… We’re energy independent…we have more oil than anybody… you’re paying $2 a gallon for your gasoline… if Biden got in you’ll be paying 7 dollars, 8 dollars, 9 dollars. Then they’d say “Get rid of your car. We’re going to build some more windmills, kill all the birds.”

270 to win.

I’ll be giving out some books. With luck, the results will so overwhelming that I can name the winners on Wednesday.

Personal Thoughts

This past month I went on vacation and drove across America: 2 weeks actual holiday time and then one week working remotely in each of Northern Florida and Metro Houston, Texas. I visited 21 states, spoke personally to dozens of people every day, and got an on-the-ground appreciation for how Americans were coping with Covid-19 and also a strong sense for how things were politically in each area I visited.  I wanted to take a moment to share some thoughts on what I learned.

  • The Trump-Pence signs outnumbered the Biden-Harris signs by at least 10 to 1.
  • In several places there were individual vehicles or caravans of vehicles adorned with Trump 2020 flags.  Never once was there such cheering for Biden.
  • This election is not about Trump vs. Biden.  It’s Trump vs. Not Trump.  If the Democrats were running a coat rack as their presidential candidate, it would make no difference.
  • From what I saw, I simply don’t believe the polls.  Florida and Texas are up for grabs by the Democrats?  I don’t believe it.
  • The challenges for Trump this election are enormous.  Not only is he battling the Democrats, the Woke Left, and their Antifa street thugs, but it seems clear that the Deep State police & spy agencies of America have turned against him and the democratic will of the American people.  It will be fascinating to see if he can defeat these monstrous (and illegal) forces.

Who knows what will transpire today and in the coming weeks but here are some predictions depending on the outcome:

  1. If Biden wins with a small or large margin, there will be no violence.
  2. If Trump wins with a large majority, there will be violence in the “usual places” but ultimately there will be acceptance by the vast majority of Americans.
  3. If Trump wins with a narrow margin, the blue cities of the U.S. will go up in flames.

If Biden is declared President, here are some predictions about 2021:

  • The Department of Defense will surreptitiously be turned into the Department of Offense and one or more wars will be concocted by the Democrats/Media/Deep State.
  • The Woke Left will get an injection of power and money unlike we’ve never seen before.
  • Free Speech, already tamped down to a great degree, will almost disappear.
  • An institutionalized racial divide will occur stronger than ever before.
  • Covid-19 will be used to quarantine and forcibly unemploy many millions of people, making them dependent on the state.
  • China will be officially welcomed again and U.S. manufacturers and energy producers deliberately harmed.
  • Biden will last no more than 12 months as President before he is forced to resign.

Just putting this out there for debate & discussion.  Stay safe, everyone!
