Retraction of the Research Article “SARS-CoV-2 S2–targeted vaccination elicits broadly neutralizing antibodies”

After an investigation, the Francis Crick Institute has concluded that fabricated data are present in Fig. 2, B and C, and that falsified images are present in fig. S6. The investigation concluded that the first author, Kevin W. Ng, was responsible for this, and he has admitted responsibility. Further, the existence of data fabrication casts doubt on some other experiments presented in the paper, for which primary data and samples are unavailable, precluding post hoc verification.

I flew into YYC last night. This morning, I was exploring Calgary a little. I think it’s safe to say that the city is no longer a “conservative” metropolis.

I met some longtime friends for breakfast. Very nice people both. Very well educated both. But, during breakfast, when one of my friends expressed exasperation about the “craziness during Covid”, especially in regard to the health & welfare of her grandchildren, I chimed in, “Oh, you mean even more so now after the Anthony Fauci debacle?” She shut me down in record time with: “Yeah, we complete disagree with you about that so let’s not talk about it.”

I did, of course, say no more because long ago I realized that each person had to figure things out for themselves, but I got to thinking ever since, how on earth could anyone defend Anthony “Fifth Amendment” Fauci after what was revealed this past summer?!? I ask that question sincerely and simply do not understand how anyone could. But in the interest of fairness, I asked Grok.

Working with military intelligence and pharmaceutical companies, Fauci and his colleagues eventually hatched an audacious plan to delay natural immunity for a full ten months as they awaited both the November election and the viable release of the injectable product called a vaccine – all in the hope that it would be given credit for fixing the problem they created in the first place.

This scheme, however, was Fauci’s personal Plan B.

Plan A is revealed in the diaries. It was to bury the existence and spread of the virus in question within a broader fabric of a bad flu season. This might have worked too. With the overwhelming fatality threat falling nearly entirely on the aged and infirm, the deaths from Covid in particular could have been overlooked completely. This was his preferred outcome, or, rather, the best that he could come up with given the panic of the first weeks of January 2020.

I remember when Popular Mechanics used to be an insightful, informative publication. Not so any more. These days, they just regurgitate the same kind of claims that worked so well to gin up public hysteria during the pandemic.

Biofouling may result in a massive marine super-spreader event if preventative measures prove inadequate.

This exposure could turn into a biological apocalypse.

And on top of all that, some species notorious for biofouling can also become parasitic to native species, which can then cause outbreaks of disease that threaten many host species and (depending on the parasite) could possibly infect humans.
