They’re Gaslighting You

Pandemic of the “unvaccinated” indeed.

Update: I can see everyone is having fun in the comments section. Let me add a couple of points. No this comparison is not “perfect”. But lets remember what the worlds top doctor, Anthony Fauci said on CNN back in June, “Having about 50% of adults fully vaccinated and about 62% of adults having received at least one dose across the US as a whole means “as a nation, I feel fairly certain you’re not going to see the kind of surges we’ve seen in the past,”  The charts start at the 50% mark and we know that the number of people fully vaccinated is much higher now.

Into the belly of the beast

Larry Elder fearlessly engages in a Zoom call with Los Angeles Times’ reporters. Many of these folks proudly refer to themselves as “liberals” but, in fact, are amongst the loudest mouthpieces behind failed Leftist policies that have dramatically hurt Californians, especially minorities. The terms, “righteous and smug” don’t even begin to describe these elitists.

In contrast, will we ever see Gavin Newsom engage in a similar discussion with the likes of Dennis Prager, Hugh Hewitt, and Adam Carolla?!

Vivian Bercovici: Israel readies booster shots as COVID cases explode

In recent years, I’ve developed a habit of popping off to Finland — the closest thing to Canada that is close to Israel — for a cottage holiday.

Everything about Finland is the most perfect antidote to summer in Tel Aviv: quiet, orderly, cool weather, an abundance of summer berries and freshwater lakes.

So, as departure day approached, and Delta numbers in Israel gained the wrong kind of momentum, I reverted to my obsessive covid chart-watching persona I had dropped months ago. The rolling seven day average in early July was bumping up against the ceiling the Finns publicized as a red line. However, by the time we boarded our flight for Helsinki a few weeks later, Israel had blown through the upper limit for admission to Finland — of 25 newly infected individuals per 100,000 — exponentially. Both Israel and Finland were on a clear upward trajectory, which continues to this day.

Life is so very hard for our former ambassador these days. How does she find the strength to continue being such an inspiration for us all?

Not Waiting for the Asteroid

Bari Weiss breaks the rules, makes a mint

Weiss, who quit in July of 2020, before the vaccines and the economic recovery, did everything we’re taught not to do when leaving a job.

In her open letter, Weiss slammed the Times for everything from ideological groupthink and pandering to Twitter to tolerating an internal culture of bullying.
The Times did not respond to emails seeking comment.

But here’s the twist. In today’s upside-down media world, where corporate media bows to ‘social’ media and to be interesting is to be ‘canceled,’ Weiss ended up on top.

A year on, Weiss has a podcast and a newsletter on Substack, the growing independent media platform now hosting the likes of Matt Taibbi, Glenn Greenwald, Andrew Sullivan and Matt Yglesias. She has been making waves. A recent newsletter and podcast is taking another look at the case of the so-called Central Park Karen, the New York dogwalker caught up in a racism row last year.

As her own boss, Weiss is already making way more money than she did working for The Man.

This is the way.
