Larry Elder fearlessly engages in a Zoom call with Los Angeles Times’ reporters. Many of these folks proudly refer to themselves as “liberals” but, in fact, are amongst the loudest mouthpieces behind failed Leftist policies that have dramatically hurt Californians, especially minorities. The terms, “righteous and smug” don’t even begin to describe these elitists.
In contrast, will we ever see Gavin Newsom engage in a similar discussion with the likes of Dennis Prager, Hugh Hewitt, and Adam Carolla?!
They were much worse than “the loudest mouthpieces behind failed Leftist policies that have dramatically hurt Californians”. They tried to sneak into the meeting someone wholly unacceptable at the end of the video. So add “lying and deceitful” to their list of attributes. It’s obvious why these lunatics are opposed to Elder; they are the very embodiment of the self-righteousness that got Newsom elected in the first place. This is THEIR legacy which is under attack by the governor’s recall.

I have already voted FOR recall, and FOR Larry Elder, however, prior to this interview I only knew Elder as a media personality … and sort of put him into that neat little box, which is of no particular import to me. However, this interview just revealed the DEPTH, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITY Elder has to govern the State of CA. Simply put … he is an impressive man, who can deliver the real CHANGE needed in CA.
Most of the questioning was surprisingly respectful and valid, with the exception of snarky comments like “Tupac has been dead for a decade” … as IF that invalidates Tupac’s sentiment? But sneaking in the RACIST questioner who just condemned Elder as an Oreo racist was despicable. It’s the LA Times way of claiming they are an “impartial” News org. … while using a proxy kamikaze to attempt humiliation of Elder. The cunning stunt FAILed.
The California Deep State, in coordination with the federal government Deep State, is not going to allow Elder to win. They’ve been emboldened by what they were able to accomplish in the vote-by-mail Wuhan Flu 2020 election, and so they won’t hesitate to pull the same stunts in California. They’ve already been caught with hundreds of empty ballots in a criminal’s car, and they designed the envelope so that their thug co-conspirators in the Postal Service will be able to identify which ballots want to get rid of Newsom so that they can just toss those.
I fear the same.

No disagreement with your general point about the press, but most of what you are suggesting is fighting straight uphill. As you stay, sufficient numbers wont ever stop watching these things.
IMO, this is how conservatives succeed. We can keep complaining about how the media is left wing, and doesnt push lefties in the way it pushes right-wingers, but all we do is whine amongst ourselves. The way to deal with lefties, is to constantly answer them in calm, well-researched, logical tones. Lefties appeal to emotion and cant deal with logic. They also generally cant respond to facts that tear apart their narratives.
Think of Jordan Peterson’s Channel 4 interview. I also happen to believe that Trump handily won the 2020 election, largely because he pelted lefty narratives with facts that destroyed the narrative.
And if you are in a group, acknowledge that you won’t convince the hard left guys but you can influence the others.
Speak to the hard left guy and take apart their illogical positions but aim the message at the fence sitters or young people.

The inquisition was probably surprised by the wealth of information that Elder came up with, that they themselves did not know and would have ignored anyway since it does not follow their narrative.
The editorial board of LAT obviously would not agree, though they could not point out errors.
That is not to say that as they wrote or write their screeds they will not misinterpret, omit, add something that was not said and generally reconstruct the whole interview for their readers.
One would think that most of their readers could not care less what Elder had to say.

…I saw that somewhere this weekend and find it an apt and bang on description of this shitshow aka Canada.
Larry Elder knows leftist “logic”, and knows how to respond to it. His ability to respond to journalist venom is beyond excellent. His ability to communicate is thusly almost a superpower. I daresay he is on par, maybe better than Trump … in this aspect.
There is a real chance he could pull this off. The press will treat him worse than Trump … if that is possible.
He doesn’t pretend that the media are honest.
He treats them as the enemy, which they are.
One of the weaknesses of our enemy, the monolithic media, is that they are incapable of creative thought. All they know is their bubble’s talking points.
Which means that their accusations (veiled as “questions”) are entirely predictable.
Mr Elder had all the necessary facts at his fingertips because the unthinking media are so incredibly predictable in their topics.
He knew ahead of time what they would ask and accuse, as clearly as if he had their crib notes.
Again…..other politicians, watch and learn.
Trump’s greatest accomplishment may be that he showed that taking on the media as the enemy, rather than trusting them to be honest, is the way to go.
