Objective: To provide estimates of the relative rate of COVID-19 death in people <65 years old versus older individuals in the general population, the absolute risk of COVID-19 death at the population level during the first epidemic wave, and the proportion of COVID-19 deaths in non-elderly people without underlying diseases in epicenters of the pandemic.
Conclusions: People <65 years old have very small risks of COVID-19 death even in pandemic epicenters and deaths for people <65 years without underlying predisposing conditions are remarkably uncommon. Strategies focusing specifically on protecting high-risk elderly individuals should be considered in managing the pandemic.

No Canadian or US troops would go outside Kabul airport to rescue a group of stranded translators and their families.
Two previous efforts, planned by the Canadian military before its departure from Kabul airport, failed to get Mr. Sharaf’s group into the airport, as did another attempt organized by the U.S. State Department. Those operations had relied on the Afghans and their families being able to reach designated meeting points near the airport gates, which proved impossible amid the chaos outside the facility, where thousands of Afghans have congregated in hopes of being airlifted out of Kabul, which fell to the extremist Taliban on Aug. 15.
The Ukrainian operation succeeded where others had collapsed because the Ukrainian military deployed special forces troops into the city on foot to conduct the rescue.

Tuned in to watch the last half of the Winnipeg Blue Bomber game yesterday. It looked like there were a lot of empty seats and sure enough a Stadium with a seating capacity of a little over 33,000 only attracted 22,000 on one of those rare Sunday evenings when the weather was perfect.
For those who don’t know the Canadian Football League has trouble making money at the best times. Boondoggles and government bailouts are pretty normal. Vaccines were supposed to be the magic bullet this year for the league. The Bombers went all in with vaccinated only fans allowed policy thinking this would lead to sell out crowds during its covid shortened season.
The Edmonton Elks are still having issues and looking down South the Tennessee Titans with a vaccination rate of 97% are having trouble keeping their best players on the field.

- Why are you not interested in the fact that the FBI found no evidence of a coordinated attack on January 6th?
- For 4 years, media outlets like yours pushed the lie that the Russians helped Donald Trump win in 2016. Yet, even after an inquiry costing nearly $32 million, absolutely no evidence was found. Have you no shame in promoting the Big Lie which brain-dead Leftists the world over still believe?
- Why are you so adamant about ridiculing and crushing anyone who simply wants integrity in the 2020 Presidential election and all elections moving forward? Here’s but one example from Arizona. There are many others.
- In your “documentary” you constantly pitch that Donald Trump is a threat to Western Democracy. Yet “your guy” in the White House has completely mismanaged the withdrawal from Afghanistan and soon, on September 1st, there may be thousands of hostages. Rather than investigate that, you release this pathetic “documentary” to attack Trump and Fox News.
- Your own country of Australia has drifted far away from any semblance of a “liberal democracy” into some sort of dystopian totalitarian regime. Yet you won’t dare speak out against your paymaster, will you? Cowards. The timing of the release of this truly pathetic “documentary”, with comments conveniently turned off, is very “interesting”, to say the least. Preprint paper puts numbers to what we already know. Seniors in institutions did the worst when it came to covid. So, long term care homes, hospitals, maybe prisons, etc.
A lot of what we’re seeing and hearing these days is misdirection so we don’t notice this. Covid is a problem, a very big problem for some people but they’re burning an awful lot of calories trying to make us think everyone carry’s the same risk.
