25% Of Zero Is Still Zero

Thankfully, there are a few adults in the room available to point out that Doug Ford’s plan for a 25% electricity surcharge on exports to the US is plain idiocy.

“..experts here however say Ontario actually generates too much power and there are no firm contracts with US markets so electricity is simply offered up on demand and an extra charge amounts to nothing.  In some cases we’ve offered exports at what we call negative prices… we [are] literally offering to pay people to take the power off our hands…”

I Want A New Country

Have they pulled Chinese booze off the shelves yet?

China fucked western CANADA late Friday with a 100% tariff on canola oil and peas.

Don’t think it’s serious Richardson last night late sent out a statement that they were pulling all bids for Canola effective immediately.

Cargill and all others will follow today.

All this to save a few electric car jobs that don’t even exist in eastern CANADA.

Were fucked and not a peep from any news outlet of the damage or liberal NDP politician.

@KenKluz – So much seed and chem is in our sheds, so we are stuck seeding canola, regardless what do you switch to as of rotation and other commodity prices. Far worse than 1970 or 1986

Oversharing

Readers will doubtless have noted the remarks on turgidity and percentages, and may have calculated that ten percent of twenty-four hours is two hours and twenty-four minutes, which, regarding the phenomenon in question, is not an insignificant amount of time. Readers may also wonder by what motherly means this knowledge of arousal was arrived at.

Two scenes of very modern divulging.

Our Chinese-Installed Governor In Ottawa

Globe and Mail;

Early in his time as Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau met with Paul King Jin, a British Columbia businessman who would go on to become a central figure in the province’s money-laundering inquiry.
The existence of the meeting was confirmed by three sources with knowledge of the encounter.

Mr. Trudeau met Mr. Jin, who was among about a dozen people, in a conference room at the Executive Inn Express Richmond, a now-closed hotel near the Vancouver airport, one of the sources said.

Evidence of the meeting emerged amid the RCMP’s years-long efforts to investigate Mr. Jin for money laundering. He was a target of two police probes, one of them launched in 2015, and a second in 2017, which was among the biggest of its kind in modern Canadian history. It is not known precisely when the meeting took place, but it was during the year-and-a-half-period after Mr. Trudeau took office in November, 2015, and early 2017, the sources said.

Alongside Mr. Jin, who moved to Canada from China in 1989, was Rongxiang “Tiger” Yuan, a Chinese army veteran, one of the sources said. Mr. Yuan has had close ties to the Chinese government and has been photographed at social events with Chinese diplomats.

From the comments – “May as well start a file on carney now so you can release it in 2035.”

The Stupid Party

Canadian Conservatives, still punching themselves in the teeth to please people who will never vote for them.
