  1. From the article:
“However, the development of a non-partisan, professional civil service largely brought that practice to an end.”

Fundamentally disagree with the premise. The concept of a professional civil service that is neutral is laudable… IF WE ACTUALLY HAD A NON-PARTISAN CIVIL SERVICE!
I can’t speak for Manitoba, but I can categorically state from personal experience that the civil service at the federal level is anything but non-partisan.

    1. I can speak for the MB civil service. It’s chock full of NPC dipper bootlickers.

    2. Nor professional, might I add, unless you consider time marking, zoom meetings about committees to see who should be on committes, etc. professions. Mostly a collection of otherwise unemployable misfits with serious personality disorders.

  2. I don’t know the author of this article (Royce Koop). He makes some valid points, but is hopelessly naive. Did he not see what happened (using civil servants) at the “Freedom Rally?” Law enforcement is presumably a “non-partisan” civil service organization. Or, at least, it would be if justice wasn’t defined by the politicians holding the power to do so. Your parliament is made up of civil servants. That’s in the job description. There is no such thing as a “non-partisan civil servant”. People live, breath and have opinions. Acting non-partisan is on the honor system…and there is an absolute shortage of honor these days.

I read this article twice, and I don’t know what his point is because he refuses to take a stand. Lots of “What ifs”…when in fact the proof is smacking him in the face.

    1. Agreed. I rolled my eyes too when I got to the part about the days of partisan civil services were long behind us. This guy must have been
living in Shangri-la or in a cave.

However, the rest of his article is spot on. But, CBC will not make any further enquiries and no other media outlet will do any digging. Case closed.

    2. Isn’t there a song about him? “Little Royce Koop, you don’t know what he got”, along those lines?

  3. Partisan BS infects both sides of the aisle, and Wally’s sin is being conservative this day.

  4. Just a friendly reminder that you earn your living at the sufferance of your betters.

  5. i can sum the article up.

We gave up firing buercrats and created a swamp.

  6. The sooner we can raise the Stars and Stripes, the sooner we will let freedom reign in Canada.

Manitoba is a cesspool of communist NDiPpers, federally, and provincially.

    1. Traitors like you should be treated as they traditionally have been in times like these
