Protest Against The War on Science … or Something

Observed yesterday at the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge:

The woman wearing the mask, with a sign protesting science defunding, seems rather ironic to me.

  1. The woman wearing the mask needs a quick course on Semmelweis and how the “Science” persecuted him for pushing hand-washing.

  2. Fauci Worship.
It’s not whether masks work or not, it’s whether or not you sincerely believe they work.

  3. I imagine the stench was overwhelming. Smart of Robert to snap these pix from afar.

  4. it is better to stay silent and be thought a fool than speak and remove all doubt

    1. Why the science of boys can be women, as long as they deny actual women of titles and scholarships.

      1. I read that haphazardly and thought you wrote deny actual women of “titties”…also true of the wokesters

  5. Speaking of that masked woman’s sign …

She says that cutting (government) science (taxpayer) funding hurts everyone, not just scientists. That is such a perfect liberal-minded sign. She actually believes that trimming an out of control US Federal budget that threatens to destroy the entire house of cards known as a $37T National Debt is somehow being … “mean” to scientists??? WTHF!? She’s worried that some scientist will have to get a job in ewwwwww … a corporation instead of the government (gravy train) is being “mean” and intended to “hurt” scientists? Womyn Puhleeze!?!!

We aren’t cutting the Federal budget to be … “mean”, or “hurt” anyone. We’re doing it to SAVE America! Wakey – Wakey liberals! And get over your “hurt” feelings.

  6. The science in the mask is that it is a lame attempt to hide her (apologies if incorrectly presumed) identity.

  7. Looks like a lot of white supremacy there…

I’ve seen bigger crowds crammed into a Greyhound bus, or TTC subway car.

    1. Cute, but this is Louisiana. No one pays attention to them. I’ve seen more people waiting for a table on Saturday morning over at Frank’s on Airline than what showed up down at the Capitol.

      1. Cuts to USAID = Cuts to astroturfing.

Note that most of the coverage of protests against anything Orange Man Bad is doing (that a majority of Americans approve!) are tight shots so you can’t see how small the crowd is.

*sigh* There goes the budget for paid professional protesters. How will we ever know where to direct our 2 minutes of hate?
