Hasan Piker, Live at UBC!

There’s a growing furor over the “Phil Lind Initiative” inviting the mental midget, Hasan Piker, to speak at the UBC campus on February 12th.

The fact that anyone is bothered by this low-IQ MORON speaking is ridiculous. Let the idiot talk. The more he blathers on, the more anyone with an IQ more than a coat rack should realize just how incredibly dumb he is.

Also, letting Piker talk on the UBC campus will accomplish three additional things:

  1. Confirm that my alma mater, UBC, has become a Radical Left cesspool to which I proudly do NOT donate any money to.
  2. Anyone attending his diatribe who is not there to laugh and mock him, should be interviewed and their name made public so that employers like me know who NOT to hire.
  3. If Canadian PETA is suspiciously quiet against the alleged serial abuse of his dog, then they are as corrupt as many of us have long suspected.

What Did The Romans Ever Do For Us?

Davide Piffer;

Why did Rome, rather than any of its many rivals in Iron Age Italy, become the core of an empire?

A muddy settlement on the Tiber turns into a machine that can raise armies, write laws that outlive empires, build roads that stitch a continent together, and carry water for millions through aqueducts, while running a Mediterranean-wide bureaucracy for centuries. The usual explanations are familiar: institutions, military discipline, geography, luck. All true, and none of them feels fully satisfying on its own. Many societies possessed some of these advantages. Rome was unusual in how consistently it turned them into scalable institutions.

There is another angle that is rarely discussed, mostly because until recently it was not testable. What if part of Rome’s advantage was carried in its people, as average differences in traits linked to learning, planning, and administration?

Ancient DNA makes it possible to ask that question directly. Using the AADR dataset and educational attainment polygenic scores, Iron Age and Republican-era Romans come out unusually high. Besides exceeding earlier Italian groups, they sit at the top of the entire ancient European distribution, even after accounting for sample age and genomic coverage.

That by itself does not explain the rise of Rome. But it does suggest a sharper hypothesis: Rome’s institutions may have been built and operated by a population that, on average, was unusually well suited to master and scale complex social systems.

Bending The Knee

Anna Farrow- Mr. Carney goes to Beijing and lands a triple kowtow

In a Jan. 13 interview with The Hub, former Canadian ambassador to China David Mulroney told Harrison Lowman that, “what Mr. Carney is doing is uncomfortably like what foreign leaders used to do with Chinese emperors which is to come to China and bend the knee and profess your loyalty.” Carney was warned about the dangerous pitfalls, or in the spirit of the kowtow, faceplants, inherent in the enterprise.

Doctors And Engineers

Sam Cooper;

Canada’s spiraling extortion crisis targeting Indo-Canadian communities is being driven by international organized crime that has exploited a whole industry of designated learning institutes and immigration consultant shops through massive fraud, coercing vulnerable student migrants into serving in extortion squads that are terrorizing families and businesses, with brazen shootings now occurring on a near daily basis in Surrey, B.C., the epicenter of a national security threat now spreading through communities in Toronto, Edmonton, and Winnipeg, The Bureau’s investigations have revealed.

Pulling together accounts from multiple sources—predominantly from British Columbia’s new multi-agency anti-extortion task force—along with documentary and data analysis, The Bureau’s findings suggest Ottawa lost control of its national borders during a massive increase of immigration under the Trudeau Liberals, and now lacks the capacity to counter rampant scams tainting major sectors of the Canadian economy tied to immigration, the education of foreign students, and the industry surrounding their ultimate goals of job placements leading to Canadian citizenship.

Among a myriad of causes, Canada’s permissive immigration systems and lack of racketeering, foreign interference, and strong sentencing and deportation laws have made the nation a magnet for transnational gangs that exploit and leverage diasporas.

If It Weren’t For Fake Hate

There’d be no hate at all.

On Tuesday, the president of the Oglala Sioux Tribe in South Dakota, Frank Star Comes Out, made headlines by claiming that four members of his tribe were unlawfully detained by ICE and calling for their immediate release. He also claimed that the federal government tried to force him to “enter into an immigration agreement with ICE.”

To coin a phrase, “That’s not entirely accurate.”

Mr. Star Comes Out apparently felt that Native Americans were being left out of all the victimization of oppressed minorities in Minnesota and decided to shoulder his way onto the stage.

Democrats and the media leapt at the story that Native Americans, “Americans” before anyone else got here, were being rounded up by evil ICE and thrown into a detention camp.

The only problem with this juicy news item was that it wasn’t true.

ICE never even encountered any Ogala Sioux and never asked for an immigration agreement. The tribe only gave ICE the first names of the supposed detainees. It’s not unreasonable to speculate that the entire “incident” was a publicity stunt, a set-up from the start.

“ICE did NOT ask the tribe for any kind of agreement; we have simply asked for basic information on the individuals, such as names and date of birth, so that we can run a proper check to provide them with the facts,” Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said.
