  2. With respect to the post “EV Crash”, it has been my observations since 1970, that most government employees (also included are government politicians) are NOT that bright. They make grand pronouncements but do not think about the logistics of the situation.
    Our father DID work as an electrical engineer for the federal government, first in Department of Transport (helped build all the small airports through out the Yukon and NWT in the 1960’s) and then in Public Works. He was appalled at the waste of time and monies on all government projects. He came up with the short story called “Pink Ribbons on Cows’ Tails”. In the story, which government department would be responsible for administering the program, and of course you would need an administrator, his secretary, various inspectors to ensure farmers were following the mandate – you get the picture. It would be another HUGE waste of time and money.
    Perhaps I should have not mentioned this, perhaps it will give ideas to Con Man Carney and his cabinet!

      Not only are they not bright & unable to think, there is no accountability. If they screw up 100 times, nothing happens to them. Get more taxpayer money & apply the same stupidity, again, hoping for a different outcome. Even in abject failure, they still get their raise, a bonus, promotion & gold-plated pension.

      In a perfect world, all four of those things would be indexed against the success of their particular project. You wanna see gov’t hustle? Lay that down as a baseline.

      I want to see this in the new constitution for the Independent Republic of Buffalo. WEXIT!

      The commentary is that governments and snivel servants haven’t given enough thought to the consequences of their EV mandates. Perhaps, but I’ll posit that they have.

      Their real intent is not for you to have an EV, but rather that you NOT have one.

      They really want you to walk or take public transit.

      It’s their vision of 15 minute cities.

    3. Just read any “regulatory impact statement and analysis” in the Canada Gazette II. Intelligence is obviously lacking. These people – bureaucrats – have no clue and pull all “facts and figures” from out of their a$$es.

        1. I would argue neither Milli nor Vanilli had an ounce of musical talent. Nesmith and Tork were very competent musicians. They just weren’t such talented songwriters … which is a distinct rarity … witness YouTube that is chock full of amazing technical guitarists you’ve never heard of and never will … because they have no creative talent to actually invent their own music. But they’re highly skilled copiers.

  6. I hope you didn’t miss the image of Waukegan HS ( North of Chicago) students with their image of a crucified Trump in an anti-ICE protest. I was gob smacked. Do they mean to imply that Trump is a Jesus like figure, a savior? Didn’t they do images like this of George Floyd? Are they implying Trump is an innocent victim? Help me out here? We need a word, better than retarded to capture the essence of this presentation.

      In reality, the automakers should have laughed in the face of any government ‘mandating’ 100% EV sales by 2030 or 2035. You can’t *force* people to buy EVs.
