And today. “They didn’t just lose their jobs, they lost their towns.”
“The Supreme Court ruled on Monday night that the Trump administration could continue to deport Venezuelan migrants based on a wartime powers act for now, overturning a lower court that had put a temporary stop to the deportations. The decision marks a victory for the Trump administration, although the ruling is narrow and focused on the proper venue for the cases, rather than on the administration’s use of a centuries-old law to justify its decision to send planeloads of Venezuelans to El Salvador with little to no due process. The justices did not address the question of whether the Trump administration improperly categorized the Venezuelans as deportable under the Alien Enemies Act, finding the migrants had improperly challenged their deportations in Washington, D.C. The justices determined that the migrants should have raised challenges in Texas, where they were being held.”
Everyone should read this link and understand the implications.
We have $29 trillion in debt held by the "public."
33% of that debt, or $9 trillion, will mature in the next 12 months. That means we will need to sell new bonds to raise the money to pay off that $9 trillion to… https://t.co/A8wArR3BZA

The Duran- Liberation Day, the end of globalization
As a Canadian who has called America home for over a decade, I’m in a unique position to observe the zeitgeist in both countries. I happen to be FB friends with an SDA regular. A discussion took place on his FB page that I chimed in on. Here’s what I wrote:
For the past several months, I’ve seen public & private comments from Canadians that is nothing short of H-A-T-R-E-D towards Americans. Completely remove Trump from the equation. What I’ve seen is hatred towards American citizens, criticizing them, their way of life, their values, etc.
While this isn’t “racism” per say, because Americans are not a race, if the same sentiments were directed at Chinese or Indians or Africans, it would be pure racism.
Want to know why I’m not surprised to see this explosion of hatred? Because, living across Canada most of my life, I encountered the same on a fairly regular basis. All that has happened now is that the Liberal Party and their vast propaganda machine have given Canadians permission to open express their “2 minutes of hate”.
Since I’ve become the unwelcome party guest here, I might as well ask a question that I’ve posed to countless Canadians, but have yet to receive a credible answer: Why is any Canadian angry at Elon Musk? I seriously would love an answer to this simple question.
Ron Butler lays it out for Canada in this podcast: “We’re f***ed!”.
“…you don’t have to move the assembly plant at all; you just have to work out how to produce the same cars in the United States. That’s a big tooling shift [that] could take a few months but in some cases they just may let the that brand run out. Like if we’re making nothing but…Lexus here maybe they just let that brand run low for a few months and then they [move] the tooling [to] Kentucky and away they go.”
The way I see this election playing out is as follows: whoever wins better hope they get a majority because they won’t want to face the voters anytime soon after they cave in to all, or nearly all, of Trump’s demands.
Sorry guys, we didn’t make the rules. But these are the new rules.

Donald J. Trump– If the European Union works with Canada in order to do economic harm to the USA, large scale Tariffs, far larger than currently planned, will be placed on them both in order to protect the best friend that each of those two countries has ever had!
Globe and Mail- Trump threatens Canada and EU with larger tariffs if they work together against U.S.

Prime Minister Mark Carney suspended his election campaign as Liberal leader to briefly return to Ottawa to meet with his Canada-U. S. cabinet committee.
Rebel News- Mark Carney says…
Trump can't talk with Carney .
Carney under investigation by US House Judiciary Committee for operating a cartel engaged in corporate extortion. Carney testified before the committee. He's an unindicted co conspirator. He's fucked. https://t.co/oL0OQQx1WX

May be exaggeration, but interesting nonetheless.
Update: Carney is mentioned a number of times in this House Judiciary Report from December.
Terry Newman now has the story up at the National Post. Continue reading

Carney added that he is “available for a call” with Trump, “but we’re going to talk on our terms as a sovereign country.” Canada reached out last week to the White House for a call between Carney and Trump, but did not hear back, according to a government official.
It’s often said that if you want to get better at something, stop playing with people you can easily beat and instead play against people who are better than you. This applies to chess, tennis, hockey, and pretty much every other activity.
The hosts of the All-In-Podcast are exceptionally smart and incredibly successful. In the most recent example, guest host Cyan Banister offered strong words of warning for Americans. She provided a long term perspective of how incredibly destructive DEI, Wokeness, and the war on excellence and meritocracy has been. One can only speculate how much worse things are in Canada given the reign of Dear Leader the past 9 years. The other hosts chimed in and this chart was displayed:

Welcome to the New Rules.
President Donald Trump has once again taken decisive action against the entrenched forces of corruption that have weaponized America’s legal system against conservatives.
Trump signed an executive order that officially cuts off the notorious global law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP from federal contracts and security clearances.
The order cites the firm’s deep ties to politically motivated prosecutions, radical left-wing discrimination policies, and its attempts to undermine American democracy.
Paul Weiss isn’t some random target—it’s a poster child for everything conservatives despise about the legal swamp. The firm’s rap sheet, as laid out in the order, reads like a laundry list of anti-American offenses.
Howard Lutnick may be the most important person connected with Canada’s future, yet few Canadians have any idea who he is. As the point person for many dealings with Canadian politicians, it might be a good idea to learn more about him.
Globe and Mail- U.S. government is asking Canadian researchers whether their work deals with DEI, climate, gender
A list of approximately 30 questions was sent earlier this month to Canadian researchers working on projects funded by U.S. agencies. The U.S. Office of Management and Budget is scrutinizing grants to institutions outside the U.S. as part of a broader effort to cut what the White House has characterized as wasteful spending.
The Canadian Association of University Teachers says the questions being asked infringe on academic independence.
Francisco- Funny how all the folks complaining about their “academic independence” don’t fund their own research.
Matt Taibbi: Raised to think Europeans were our gentler, more civilized partners, they now look like shameless freeloaders
“Europe enjoyed its years of low military spending thanks to a prolonged period of protection from the US, allowing it to build one of the most generous social security systems in the world… Across the EU, social protection has grown as a share of total government spending, rising from 36.6 per cent in 1995 to 41.4 per cent on the eve of the pandemic… While higher borrowing can cover some initial outlays… the cost of rearmament will ultimately be shouldered by taxpayers and beneficiaries of the continent’s social security nets.”
There you have it. While in America it took an electoral upheaval and a near-military assault on the federal budget before citizens learned they were spending oversight-free billions on “climate change things” or funding trans hair salons in India, Europeans are still in the stage of needing The Financial Times to explain that in an unsubsidized country, taxpayers pay for taxpayer benefits.
Since EU President Ursula von der Leyen announced weeks ago that Europe is commencing a new “era of rearmament,” the atlanticist press has been churning copy in a frantic effort to explain what living without subsidized defense means. As an American who’s sent decades of taxes overseas, these dispatches are hard reading. It looks like a bunch of pundits Googled, “How do major industrialized countries pay for their own defense?” The tone is what an editor breaking the news about Santa Claus to forty-year-olds would shoot for. It’s incredible stuff.
Sounds oddly familiar.
