Who’s Not Talking To Who?

Unelected governor of Canada can’t get no respect.

Morning Star- Carney Believes Trump Waiting For Election Results Before Talking to Canadian Leader

Carney added that he is “available for a call” with Trump, “but we’re going to talk on our terms as a sovereign country.” Canada reached out last week to the White House for a call between Carney and Trump, but did not hear back, according to a government official.

  1. Poor little Markie. Why would Trump waste his time talking to the unelected leader of the worst economy in the OECD. There’s nothing Carnage can do for him or to him. Trump will wait until Carnage has driven Canada into the ground, where it deserves to be, and then offer terms of surrender.

    1. Yes indeed, Kenji…please continue to brake our slow slide into complete illiteracy.

    2. Kenji, mistakes I come across quite often during my internet travels are:

Using disinterested (which means impartial) for uninterested ( which means not interested). Example: a trial judge should always be disinterested but never uninterested in a case.

Using pleaded for the past tense of plead, instead of pled.

Writing lead (the metal) instead of led for the past tense of the verb lead.

  2. “Canada reached out last week to the White House for a call between Carney and Trump, but did not hear back, according to a government official. ”

Who reached out and to whom? and why does some unnamed “government official” story carry any weight?

    1. You have to pay attention. Canada has been governed for the past decade by “senior officials who are not authorized to speak”; but then speak anyway. Apparently all without security clearances, as if they did have them then they would, of course, be searched out and called to account.

One reason, I suppose, that these real rulers are blind to all the trifling democracy issues that have arisen over the prolonged resignation of one figurehead, and the instant installation of yet another.

  3. Why would Trump wait for the election? PP hates Trump too. Vive’ Canada! Yeayy Canada! Booo America …and that big, stupid, felon, Orangemanbad

Oh! Wait. Did I leave out Jackmeat? Maybe he “likes” Trump?

    1. It’s all BS, Kenji. Lies, lies, and more lies. You will never get a straight answer out of a Canadian politician.

That’s because they think we’re all stupid and must be controlled. Nobody deals straight with a stupid peasant, they just tell comforting lies and then take your cow.

    2. After the election, at least whoever is PM will actually be able to negotiate.

Without an election and parliament prorogued (until today), what’s the point in wasting time talking to a Canadian government that can’t actually do anything? You don’t waste time with lame ducks.

      1. Shhhhh … stop making sense when the useless, compromised media are saying Orangemanbad

  4. If President Donald J. Trump asked for PM Marx Carney to have a visit to “the southern Whitehouse” I doubt he’d be staying overnight, sure The Turd™ could remind Marx how that all went down…

  5. Canada does not currently have an elected leader only an installed and hopefully short term one. Why waste a phone call?

  6. What is the point of talking to Beijing’s dildo? Just talk directly to Beijing, no?

  7. And what’s hilarious is that Kid Rock can phone Trump directly and talk to him.

Trump is negotiating mode, plain and simple.

And has Trudeau yet chastised the LPC as racist and misogynistic for not selecting a woman of colour to be the next PM?

  8. I don’t think Carney understands the game. You Canadian folks aren’t going to like this, but the US benefits from Carney winning the election. Your remaining industry (arguably anemic) and other commercial entities will merely move fully or partially to the US. That’s already happening. It’s much like the microcosm of California and how commercial (and residential) parties moved out of the failing state.

Trump is all about leverage, and the only way he speaks to Carney on the phone is if Carney picks up the receiver and dials the number…and even that isn’t a sure thing. It depends on Trump accepting the call. Were that to occur prior to 4/28, he’d be passed off to an underling IMO.

  9. The Americans don’t trust any Canadian authorities.
Rumours of kicking out Canaderp from Five Eyes. Speaks Volumes.
Security concerns date back to Blinken and Biden regime, when even they thought Canaderp was thoroughly corrupted by CCP operatives. And those guys were soft on Chiner.
Trump is playing hardball. Carney of course is bluffing, distracting, and delaying.

You are very right about that, Dan. It’s more associated with the gaping void in the Dock law enforcement. When they disbanded the Port Police in 1997, it was “replaced” by glorified security staff paid by the dock owners themselves. That creates all kinds of problems and selective “enforcement.” AKA…easily corruptible. You’ll note that the tariff wars going on right now include a clause about the initiation of valid law enforcement at Ports (and railroads).

Even your CBC accidentally discovered just how corrupt the Port of Toronto is. They did a story on a guy who had a third vehicle stolen from his driveway. He put Apple Air Trackers in it, and local police went to the port where the tracker locked in. The Port security staff would not let the local police open a crate that was shown to contain this guy’s truck. Eventually, it ended up on a used car lot in Dubai (tracker still working and inside the vehicle).

  10. “but we’re going to talk on our terms as a sovereign country.”

No. You’re not going to talk…you’re going to listen.

  11. Trump if anything, might push off the tariffs until after the election.. Putting his big orange thumb into the pie without even saying a word..
