The Sound Of All Hell Breaking Loose: Every Breath You Take

Lorrie Goldstein;

If you’re wondering how the robot-like march of the world’s politicians towards Copenhagen can possibly continue in the face of the scientific scandal dubbed “climategate,” it’s because Big Government, Big Business and Big Green don’t give a s*** about “the science.”
They never have.

Indeed, they never have. Watch this and marvel…

Well, the focus has changed.
[This] article dated November 26th 2009 reveals that the MSM has a new reason for reducing carbon dioxide and it’s no longer global warming or climate change. The new reason for cutting carbon dioxide is

“ … slashing carbon dioxide emissions also could save millions of lives, mostly by reducing preventable deaths from heart and lung diseases, according to studies published this week in the British medical journal The Lancet.”

Read them both, then;

[S]end a message to Prime Minister Stephen Harper by e-mail (pm@pm.gc.ca), fax (1-613-941-6900) or call toll-free (1-866-599-4999) and ask to be put through to the Office of the Prime Minister.
Do the same for Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff by e-mail, (ignatm@parl.gc.ca). fax, (1-613-947-0310), or call-toll free (1-866-599-4999) and ask to be put through to the Liberal Leader’s Office.
Tell them you want no part of the madness in Copenhagen.
Blow their phones off the hook.

The Sound Of All Hell Breaking Loose, Pt. 9

It’s the tale of the red hot Kiwi…

[New Zealand’s National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research’s] David Wratt has told Investigate magazine this afternoon his organization denies faking temperature data and he claims NIWA has a good explanation for adjusting the temperature data upward.
[…]
Those adjustments were made by New Zealand climate scientist Jim Salinger, a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change who started work on the series when he was with the University of East Anglia, the centre of the Climategate scandal. (Salinger was dismissed by NIWA this year for speaking without authorisation to the media.)
The New Zealand Climate Science Coalition, which created the last two graphics and includes an IPCC reviewer, now alleges that Salinger and NIWA have refused to explain the basis on which the data was adjusted:

The shocking truth is that the oldest readings have been cranked way down and later readings artificially lifted to give a false impression of warming, as documented below. There is nothing in the station histories to warrant these adjustments and to date Dr Salinger and NIWA have not revealed why they did this.

Adjusted upward – by 1500 per cent.
Comparative graphs at the first link, full report from the New Zealand Climate Science Coalition here (pdf).
(Thanks, tipsters. There were lots of you.)

I can’t say I am spectacularly surprised at the emerging scandal over private e-mails obtained from the servers of the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit,…

I’ve said it before – this week in boardrooms across the industry, media executives are meeting with media experts to hash out yet another strategy, and yet more innovations to address their falling fortunes, every last one of them invested in the unshakable belief that the internet is burying them because it’s faster .
As though the only difference between shit and sunshine is the speed at which they travel.
Related“I’ve heard about the cutbacks at the NYT and I guess it’s gotten so bad that they no longer allow internet access to reporters. So my news tip is that apparently, there’s some kind of development regarding the scientists behind the global warming data, involving emails or something like that…”
Also, highly recommended.

Pulled Entry Re: Rubber Rebate

Note – an entry that was written, but held pending further information, appeared here for a short time when it was mistakenly auto-published.
Nothing in the information contained in the post has been challenged, but I’ve voluntarily pulled it in the interest of fairness, as we are giving the company involved further time to clarify what happened.
It will be republished if circumstances warrant.

(Bumped)
Editor’s note: for as much attention as the emails have received – and they are damning – it’s the computer code that is revealing the real story behind the climate models. It includes corrupted and incomplete data, data manufacture and manipulation. programming failure, and program bias. The details are too lengthy and complex to include in this round-up post, but no commentary on this scandal is complete without a thorough examination of what is being uncovered in the CRU computer code files and documentation.

The fast-moving international case against a Pakistani-Canadian businessman charged with plotting a terror attack in Denmark and suspected of others in India moved into Pakistan on Monday night with news of the capture of another suspect.
[…]
If confirmed, Kashmiri’s arrest will expand the global nature of the case, which already has connections to Chicago, Copenhagen, Mumbai and Kanata. It would also highlight the intercontinental reach of suspected terrorist operations.
Canadian Tahawwur Hussain Rana, 48, and Pakistani-American David Coleman Headley, 49, were arrested in Chicago by the FBI last month and accused of plotting the murder of an editor and cartoonist at the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, which ran controversial cartoons of the prophet Mohammad in 2005. They face charges of conspiring to provide material support for terrorism and providing material support to terrorism.

Buried way, way down at the bottom…

According to his brother, Rana is “honest” and “hard-working.” In Monday’s edition of The Hill Times, Abbas Rana said the charges against his the brother were “false,” and that the ordeal had plunged his family into a nightmare.

Climate Emails: Don’t Google It

The Google search function comes with a handy helper. Typically, when you begin to type in search terms, a drop down window will appear to provide helpful suggestions, based on the search terms Google users are typing in most often.
I mention this, because a couple of days ago, typing the word “climate” into the window resulted in “climate hack” and “climate emails” popping up near the top of the handy helper suggestion list.
Today, Google’s handy helper seems to have had a change of heart.

I tried a stronger hint…
screenshot_google_em.jpg
Maybe my eyes deceived me. Maybe no one out there was searching for “climate emails” after all?
screenshot_google_34million.jpg
The same non-thing happens with “climate hack”.
I know you’re asking the same question I am – has Google been hijacked by the folks at Wikipedia….?
Update: Several commentors using google.com are reporting their search bars are behaving like mine was yesterday. I’ve been using google.ca the whole time, so I still can’t explain the change in behavior.
