kate, you want decisive… apparently you have to ask a canadian…
“We detained, under violent actions, people trying to kill our sons and daughters,
who had in some cases done that, been successful at it, and were continuing to
    do it.”

  2. This is all going to end bad. There is nothing worse than someone who wont commit to any action good or bad.
I’m told its why some “officers” ended up fragged in the Vietnam war. Not being able to make a decisions kills people.

  3. Right on,Revenant. I would have more impressed if the headline had said “i’ve seen the enemy, and it is me,your rainbow, unicorn, and hopey-changey guy”

  4. Philanthropist: Great minds think similar, before I saw your post I was going to type:
    Umm…. Oh… We kind of… That’s not what I mean… Next question?

  5. It’s crystal clear to me what Obama’s doing. Hold off on making the big Afghanistan decision long enough, and let the ground situation deteriorate to the point that whatever (half-hearted) measure he does commit to won’t matter. He’ll also pepper his “decision” with unmeetable benchmarks, such that he can use them 6-12 months down the line as his “reason” (read: excuse) to pull out completely and claim it wasn’t really his fault – and then chalk up bringing the troops home (after their now-failed mission) as an *accomplishment*.
On military matters, this president is a despicable coward and needs to be called out as such.
