Our Chinese-Installed Government In Ottawa

Post Millennial;

Trudeau advisor and former bank governor Mark Carney, who was recently featured as a keynote speaker at the 2021 Liberal convention, appeared during the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology on Thursday, where he could not answer if he believed there was an ongoing genocide taking place in China’s Xinjiang region against the region’s Uyghur minority.

The line of questioning came from Conservative Shadow Minister Pierre Poilievre, who pressed Carney on where his company was sourcing polysilicon for solar panel construction. China, and specifically the Xinjiang region of China, is the number one producer of the important material in the world.

After nothing that US lawmakers have voiced concerns that polysilicon is linked to work camps in the Xinjiang region, Poilievre asked Carney — who serves as the UN Special Envoy on Climate Action and Finance—to promise that his company, Brookfield, would not source materials from the Xinjiang region. Carney said that he would ensure that his materials would not come from non-ethical supply chains.

Carney said that he did not believe his source was unethical, though he did not know for sure.

Poilievre would go on to ask why a Brookfield executive said they would move one-third of their operations to China — who is the number one producer of greenhouse gasses in the world.

Canadian company loading supertankers in Texas, with American oil

We never did build an oil export port at Kitimat. But Calgary-based Gibson Energy recently bought a massive, nearly brand-new oil export facility on the Texas Gulf Coast. And this one is capable of loading supertankers. Too bad there wasn’t one on the BC coast they could have bought.

National Post- Defunding CBC would be ‘devastating’ to news in rural Canada: Catherine Tait

Thomas asked her if the CBC would continue to provide Canadians with news if it was “given the opportunity to be truly independent, and set free from the shackles of government money”, as the Conservative party has been promising to do if they form government.

Tait said it would be “extremely difficult” to provide news to many of the underserved communities across Canada, such as rural and northern communities as well as francophones living in minority communities, which do not benefit from commercial private news.

What’s The Opposite Of Diversity?

How it started…

African-American bakery employee testified he saw Dean of Students Meredith Raimondo “standing directly in front of the store with a megaphone, orchestrating some of the activities of the students.”

How that went.

Oberlin College pays $36 million to Ohio bakery after its owner accused the school of refusing to pay penalty in defamation suit

And how it’s going…

One of the country’s most liberal colleges is being investigated over allegations it allowed antisemitism to breed on campus including having a professor of peace studies who has called for the elimination of Israel and the death of Salman Rushdie.

Oberlin College in Ohio could lose chunks of the millions in annual federal funding as a result of the probe, whose existence it has not yet disclosed to students, alumni and donors. Last year, the school took in more than $5 million in federal grants.

Prosecution for nothing

Canadian taxpayers ought to be livid that crown attorneys have wasted this much time on a trial that is clearly going nowhere.

An Ottawa police liaison officer testifying in the trial of Chris Barber and Tamara Lich agreed on Wednesday that none of the protesters he communicated with indicated they were participating in the “Freedom Convoy” because they were influenced by the high-profile organizers.

…he told the court there were multiple groups and factions attending the demonstrations.

Blonde said he believes that not all protesters had the same “wishes or desires,” but that they had the same “general reasoning” for demonstrating.

The Crown is seeking to prove that Lich and Barber exerted influence over protesters’ actions.

The Arc Of The Renewables Universe Is Long, But It Bends Toward Bankruptcy

WUWT;

Ørsted, a major player in the offshore wind development sector, has decided to pull the plug on its Ocean Wind 1 and Ocean Wind 2 projects off the coast of New Jersey. Citing “escalated financial difficulties and supply chain issues”.

Ørsted’s decision brings to light the tumultuous waters that renewable energy projects are now starting to regularly encounter.

Justin Trudeau targeted in United Front corruption networks

A most interesting discussion that few are talking about:

So for example, when you see Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in these photos constantly surrounded by alleged Chinese intelligence proxies and gangsters at these cash-for-access fundraisers or campaign events, these pictures are telling a story.

And the story is how Canadian politicians are surrounded by something that’s called the Chinese Communist Party’s United Front.

. . .

And so what shocked me — when I was putting together my reports — was that my intelligence sources were very concerned that key Liberal Party leaders had these United Front network staff members.

And this included Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
