Here’s an interview with him and his wife, Nathalie Dompe, in which he fully admits how brainwashed he used to be by the media. The United Nations is at risk of “imminent financial collapse” due to member states not paying their fees, the body’s head has warned.

He wrote in a letter to all 193 member states that they had to honour their mandatory payments or overhaul the organisation’s financial rules to avoid collapse.

It comes after the UN’s largest contributor, the US, refused to contribute to its regular and peacekeeping budgets, and withdrew from several agencies it called a “waste of taxpayer dollars”. Several other members are in arrears or are simply refusing to pay.[…]

At its headquarters in Geneva, signs warning of the situation have been put up everywhere. In an almost desperate attempt to save cash, the escalators are regularly turned off and the heating turned down.

A dear female friend of mine, who has likely voted Democrat her entire life, but isn’t a Woke Leftist, told me today that she’s worried that she could get deported from the U.S. I pointed out that she’s American, so this is impossible. She sent me this NPR article:

President Trump says his administration is actively exploring a proposal to detain U.S. citizens and send them to prisons in El Salvador. Speaking Monday, minutes before a press briefing alongside El Salvador’s president, Nayib Bukele, Trump could be heard embracing the concept.

“The homegrowns are next, the homegrowns. You’ve got to build about five more places,” Trump said to Bukele, an apparent reference to prison space that would be needed in El Salvador to house U.S. citizens.

El Salvador is already holding hundreds of people in a maximum-security prison. They were flown from the U.S. in recent weeks after being detained for allegedly lacking legal status or having gang affiliations.

Read through the article by this journalist Leftist activist, Brian Mann, and see if you can spot the lack of context presented by him.

I did my own research and it revealed a very different picture:

Yes, there is substantial truth to the NPR report you linked, based on multiple corroborating sources. The article accurately reflects public statements made by President Trump in April 2025, where he expressed interest in exploring the deportation and imprisonment of certain U.S. citizens—referred to as “homegrowns” or “homegrown criminals”—in foreign facilities, specifically in El Salvador. These comments were made during discussions with El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, and the White House confirmed at the time that the administration was studying the legal feasibility of such an approach for violent, repeat offenders.

Truth be told, I find it odd that Trump mentioned any of this, but the chance of my friend being deported is zero. Isn’t it “interesting” that none of this context was included in Mann’s diatribe. He is Exhibit ‘A’ of why we don’t hate the media nearly enough.

If America & Europe Lived in the Same Town

I’ve been carefully watching a lot of British & European reaction to what happened at Davos this past week. The arrogance of most of it is very instructional.

If Europe and America were neighbors in the same town, here’s a good metaphor:

The Americans would be the average blue collar townsfolk, toiling away at their jobs, paying their taxes, and not expecting a whole lot in return from their government, other than to be left alone to live their lives.

The Europeans would be an old aristocratic family living in a posh, but not well kept up mansion on the edge of town. Over the years, these folks had stopped paying their fair share of taxes, stopped volunteering, stopped helping in any meaningful way, yet fully expecting their “lesser” neighbors to do everything for them.

When the American neighbors finally said enough is enough, the Europeans would be outraged, cry victim, and do everything they could to coerce the Americans to return back to paying for their lifestyle.

P.S. I’m not sure how Canada fits into this metaphor, but am open to suggestions.

I think Trump’s long game here is to ensure Mark Carney gets his majority.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday said he would impose a 100% tariff on Canada if it makes a trade deal with China and warned Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney that a deal would endanger his country.

“China will eat Canada alive, completely devour it, including the destruction of their businesses, social fabric, and general way of life,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“If Canada makes a deal with China, it will immediately be hit with a 100% Tariff against all Canadian goods and products coming into the U.S.A.”

And then peel off Alberta in the aftermath.

Trump should write a book.

What I find amazing is Trump runs the same play over and over again and people are surprised by it every time. Guy you should have figured out what the game plan is by now.

Even more amazing is people haven’t figured out the strategy of ask for incredible things and fall back to getting big gains. Like I see people say he collapsed on Chinese tariffs and I’m like he nearly doubled them and they stand at alike 40%. If that is collapsing then I wish every country would “collapse” on Chinese tariffs. Like seriously don’t threaten me with a good time.

Leverage. If Trump has leverage, he uses it. If he doesn’t have leverage, he builds it. If there is no leverage to be had he sells potential. Don’t believe me?
