I don’t think they’re completely leaving, and there is more than one way to keep an eye on Walz. But, the primary objective has always been to get state and local law enforcement to cooperate with ICE and hand over the criminals they have/help round up the ones still at large. It was never about abuelita getting hemmed up and sent packing, at least not unless she was a criminal beyond illegal entry. That could come later…or not at all. The chances of it happening have now gone up thanks to the shenanigans of the Democrats and their supporters, funnily enough.

I’m concerned that while this may be a tactical victory, it may be a strategic loss. What this is going to look like to the people who support the rent-a-mobs is that if you amp up the resistance to federal law enforcement to Fort Sumpter levels, you can chase federal law enforcement out of your state.
I know, I know, these protests aren’t organic. But there’s a big PR element to all of this and I fear this has just handed the commies a win on that front.

They are supposedly reducing the number of agents there by 700…out of 2400.
The 700 were doing nothing more than … do the POLICE work of crowd control and protecting ICE Abents from the paid agitproppers. If Holman has moved ICE off the street … then those Border Patrol officers can be better deployed elsewhere.
