Our Chinese-Installed Governor In Ottawa

I think Trump’s long game here is to ensure Mark Carney gets his majority.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday said he would impose a 100% tariff on Canada if it makes a trade deal with China and warned Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney that a deal would endanger his country.

“China will eat Canada alive, completely devour it, including the destruction of their businesses, social fabric, and general way of life,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“If Canada makes a deal with China, it will immediately be hit with a 100% Tariff against all Canadian goods and products coming into the U.S.A.”

And then peel off Alberta in the aftermath.

    1. I’m pleased that it is the #Libranos at the helm in Canada for this. We couldn’t ask for a greater gift to our separation cause than to have the Marx Carnage who guided The Turd™ and #Libranos though all Canada’s glory years.

    2. Well Jerry, I had a customer in edmonchuck in the early 80T’s, and yoos were whining back then, why are you still whining today? Exit day was 20 years ago, or more!

      1. I’ve been talking about a “Republic of Alberta” for at least that long, sometimes it takes a little bit longer than we had hoped for our gel to set. The separation movement in AB/Sask. needs to just play by the processes laid out for us, one step at a time.

        Autumn 2026

I don’t know if you’re in Alberta, if you are here, have you signed? https://x.com/RiseOfAlberta

      2. Yes, we missed the boat. In fairness, many were fooled by Mulroney thinking he would deliver the Triple E Senate. Little did we know he would let the Dippers kybosh it with its non-negotiable “Social Charter” demand.

    3. I hope my province of Saskatchewan is smart enough to join Alberta and then the Yukon Territory and eve NWT can also join. Finally, America will have a land corridor to Alaska.

  1. “Governor Carney”

The most significant part about Trump’s statement was about how Carney instead of promoting Canada as a reliable and trustworthy partner he became a pitchman for communist China.
Now comes the question that is elephant in the room. When will Carney reneg on his agreement with the Chicoms?

Prepare for some very unboring and interesting times

    1. joseph
      “Governor Carney”
and that is what caught my eye immediately, bc it is on a official statement that it is being used. Trump should have used chinese to say that.

  2. Maybe it’s better this way: Canada will go bankrupt much faster, and it will be easier for Trump to take over.

    1. Yes! Cut the throat of this diseased whore of a former nation and bleed it quickly. It is over either way, best done sooner.

      1. “Yes! Cut the throat of this diseased whore of a former nation and bleed it quickly. It is over either way, best done sooner.”

Agree 100%, Peter. I feel badly for the innocent people who will be financially hurt by this, but most of you you brought this on yourselves by voting Liberal and NDP. You watched them take our rights and freedoms away one at a time and you rejoiced in it. You scorned and belittled anyone who objected or even pointed this out as having “unacceptable views”, as if yours were the only views that mattered.

Now that you are facing the prospect of finally paying the price for your arrogance, condescension and rejection of anything conservative, you are starting to sweat. GOOD. Enjoy what happens next…I know I will…

    2. Hopefully it won’t go like Yugoslavia did, but I doubt it.
Ignorant people go mental-violent with little provocation.

  3. Sask will want to join too. The real ones. The Dipper, nates, Jeets, and Arabs can move to Manitoba

    1. As a Manitoban who owns farmland so can’t easily leave, please send them to Winnipeg and take southern Manitoba with you. Draw a line where the blue ridings are.

  4. Hmmmm…I dunno. In situations like this I generally wait for a video from Quick Dick McDick for direction.
    He’s got the answers.

      1. Those canola tariffs were hurting QDM to the tune of something like $100,000. That’s not theoretical. That’s a real financial loss. So keep that in mind. Are you out $100,000 this year? Could you sustain that sort of loss over a trade issue? Now multiply that across every canola farmer in Canada.

        1. “Are you out $100,000 this year? Could you sustain that sort of loss over a trade issue? Now multiply that across every canola farmer in Canada.”

Because only the poor, downtrodden MILLIONAIRE canola farmers matter, right Brian? The vast majority rest of Canadians can just suck it up?

  5. What has Trump got against PP? He spiked him in the last election an it looks like the same again.

    1. Hey, it’s Canada.
      It’s the Liberal Party.
      The Fix is in.
      It always is.
We’re just waiting to see the price.
      Trump’s face on Mt. Robson?
A couple diamond mine baubles for Melania?
      Rename the country Trumpanada?
      Never underestimate Liberal perfidy.

    2. Pee-pee had 4 full months to make contact after Trump won the election. He didnt. So Trump could only conclude from the silence that this supposed Conservative was (a) yellow, and (b) anti-American.

      1. So DJT is supposed to take a call from the leader of the opposition? If he did that, every politician would be calling him nonstop. You live in an alternate reality. I think you have PDS.

        1. I guess you’re right … if you mean pussy derangement syndrome.

Smith had the balls to contact him..

      1. “PP spiked himself last election. It was just a TDS contest.”

Exactly. He showed his true ‘Liberal Lite’ colours immediately as he jumped on the anti-Trump bandwagon *without hesitation*.

        1. Anyone who calls Poilievre “Liberal Lite” has clearly never met the man, never heard him speak, never had a conversation with him.

          1. I suspect he had reason to think that the anti-Trump sentiment was huge, and if he tried to make nice with him, he might drag his party into being The Traitor Party for a long time.

I think he chose wrong, but it wasn’t for venal reasons.

          2. “Anyone who calls Poilievre “Liberal Lite” has clearly never met the man, never heard him speak, never had a conversation with him.”

Anyone who judges people (especially career politicians) by what they say and not by what they actually do is not someone whose advice I would ever take seriously. Poilievre has failed every serious test ever given to him.

    3. Trump is about the best deal for the United States of America. Getting Carnage elected was part of that, not for the welfare of Canada or Canadians. Plus you had the usual US DNC adjacent interference actors (Tides, LeadNow, etc) and the PRC working for the same guy.

    4. “What has Trump got against PP? He spiked him in the last election an it looks like the same again.”

PP who jumped aboard the “Elbows Up!” anti-Trump train without a second thought?

“Me too!” “I hate Trump, too, see?” “Honestly, I do!!” “Pick Me!!”

  6. Let me get this straight, US-China trade deal good, Canada-China trade deal bad. Translated, “you’re not allowed to trade with anyone but us.” When one country can dictate another country’s trading policies, the second country is a vassal to be exploited, not a partner to be traded with.

BTW, as many people here will point out, China is not to be trusted.

      1. john the johnson
That narcissistic megalomaniac is getting real life results, major crime down , inflation down, illegal aliens down, Madurno down, drug imports down. Now tell us which of those hurts, and were it hurts you?

    1. I don’t think that’s it.

It’s it’s more that China can’t use Canada to get around the trade agreement with the US. IIRC, part of the US-China agreement is to open the Chinese market to US goods. If China can ship its goods through Canada, its market is expanded without having to make concessions.

    2. Let’s say …If the U.S. wants Canadian steel it’ll be bargained for and negotiated at a price the U.S thinks it should pay for Canadian steel. So far so good.
A problem arises when China dumps its steel on Canada’s shores and Canada in turn then sells that very same steel… sometimes masquerading as Canadian steel… to the U.S. at a price which is much lower undercutting steel producers in the U.S.
That’s a problem. Simplistic…but you get the point.
BTW…China knows what Canada does with its steel and are quite happy with the arrangement. In effect it opens up a huge american market to them that wouldn’t be available to them otherwise.
But seriously…how much steel do you use.

      1. BC just ordered 4 new ferries from China which I am presuming
will be built with Chinese steel and The Feds are lending them
one billion dollars to do it.

        1. Simple. China has the shipbuilding capacity and Canada does not. And we will get the ferries for half the price they would cost if they were built in Canada. It’s just economics.

          1. The Chicoms can build everything cheaper than we can.
            Why not outsource it all?
We can pay with coal, uranium, oil and gas, wood, diamonds, food…
And most of all, with land.

          2. Most ferries have been built overseas, and not in BC.
A couple of small ones have been built here, and of course, the “Fast Ferries” were disastrously built here.
China is a new builder, for BC. It’s usually been Poland, Netherlands, Romania and Germany.
The Spirit class ferries were built in BC in 93/94.
So yes, China is controversial, but the ENDP pussyfooted around it, pretended to be embarrassed, but made excuses to maintain the deal. Yeah, they like their Chinese masters.

      2. “A problem arises when China dumps its steel on Canada’s shores and Canada in turn then sells that very same steel… sometimes masquerading as Canadian steel… to the U.S. at a price which is much lower undercutting steel producers in the U.S.”

That’s exactly what they did, and it is shameful that the news media doesn’t report that fact.

    3. JG, by far the most cognizant thing I have seen you post. When you cannot defend your land, at all, your sovereignty is exactly as much or as little as the real proprietors say it is. Not sure if it was von Clausewitz or another esteemed geopolitical thinker who said there will be an army in your country, the only question is whether it is yours or someone else’s.

    4. That’s because America’s deal is good for America, and Trump can handle China, the Cuck in Ottawa is just a left wing useful idiot.

    5. “When one country can dictate another country’s trading policies, the second country is a vassal to be exploited, not a partner to be traded with.”

We WERE a partner back when we treat them with respect. With our entire economy being the size of California’s, the USA could *always* dictate our trading policies if they wanted to, they just never felt the need…until the idiot Carney came along and totally trashed our relationship for the sole purpose of getting himself elected.

    6. If Trump wanted to forestall a Canada-China trade deal, why not offer to liberalize trade with Canada instead of making it clear that he has no interest in any deal, thereby practically guaranteeing that Canada will seek trade deals elsewhere?

      1. Sure.
Your neighbour constantly yells and swears at you, your wife and kids. Kicks your dog. Throws its trash in your yard and cuts down the trees and shrubs on the property line.
And you want to make him a roast beef dinner and invite him over, to “liberalize relations”.
        Yeah, screw that.
Canada deserves the punishment coming. This country is smug, delusional and entitled. Economically illiterate Media addicts.

        1. “Yeah, screw that.
Canada deserves the punishment coming. This country is smug, delusional and entitled. Economically illiterate Media addicts.”

          Well said. This was inevitable.

      2. “If Trump wanted to forestall a Canada-China trade deal, why not offer to liberalize trade with Canada instead of making it clear that he has no interest in any deal, thereby practically guaranteeing that Canada will seek trade deals elsewhere?”

Because “making it clear that he has no interest in any deal” is clearly a NEGOTIATING PLOY. One of the very same type that Donald Trump is famous for. He wrote a couple of books about it. Read one.

The other half of that (the unspoken half) is that the US can negate just about any deal Canada can make with any other nation either by threatening the other nation with sanctions or tariffs or bribing them with more favourable US trade deals. That’s how politics works, Dennis….

(and why do I need to explain any of this to a man your age?)

      3. Because we are too far gone , perhaps?
        Ever think of that?
Why should we be treated as we were?
We are a Post National State.
        They did it …..
Who knows how deep China is in Canadian affairs?
        We where already rotten.
        Before Trump came along .
Yeah I get how people get unsettled about him.
But first Canadians best look back on how things have transpired and look inward .
If he’s losing it or not he doesn’t owe this misdirected mess we call a country a damn thing.

  7. Trump is weaning Canada and Europe.
Canada has chosen to rebel against Daddy and go looking for love by hopping into bed with bad boy China.
    We know how that ends.
Knocked up, with some ugly tattoos, and a scorching STD.

  8. Another “If Canada doesn’t do what I say, I’m going to kick the American people in the balls with even more import tariffs.”

    1. 100% tariffs on Canadian oil coming into the US isn’t going to be very popular with American consumers, but then a proper understanding of who pays tariffs has always eluded Trump.

      1. If these tariffs persist, they may well shut down those American refineries specializing in Canadian heavy oil, which would be an own goal.

But such tariffs are insane, and likely won’t last long, if they’re implemented at all. They are so draconian that even Congress might take action. And the Supreme Court might soon have something to say.

        1. “But such tariffs are insane, and likely won’t last long, if they’re implemented at all. They are so draconian that even Congress might take action. And the Supreme Court might soon have something to say.”

          And pigs might fly.

          1. Are you aware that a Supreme Court ruling on the ability of Trump to use the IEEPA statute to impose tariffs is due any day now?

Are you also aware that a midterm election is due in 9 months, and that heightened inflation and a tariff-induced recession would put many Republican congressmen out of work?

      2. “..100% tariffs on Canadian oil coming into the US isn’t going to be very popular with American consumers, but then a proper understanding of who pay/s tariffs has always eluded Trump.”

If only Trump could get his mitts on another source of heavy/sour crude.. Somewhere south, with lots of cheap, shitty sludge oil.. dirt cheap.. Hmm..

    2. So far, the American people are pretty thrilled with what Trump’s tariffs are accomplishing. Yes, they are a poor revenue tool. But, also yes, they are a great policy tool.

I’ll pay a bit more happily if it means fewer nations around me going communist. Or Chinese. Or Chinese communist.

      1. “So far, the American people are pretty thrilled with what Trump’s tariffs are accomplishing. Yes, they are a poor revenue tool. But, also yes, they are a great policy tool.”

Recent economic results back that up nicely…and he’s just getting started.

    3. “Another “If Canada doesn’t do what I say, I’m going to kick the American people in the balls with even more import tariffs.”

Yeah…and then I’ll lower inflation, lower unemployment, boost the stock market and raise the GDP even more.

      That’ll show ’em!

      1. 1. Trump has failed to lower inflation, despite that being a central plank of his presidential campaign. Now Trump is even claiming that “affordability” as a made-up crisis.

        2. In 2025 there were less than 600,000 more jobs, an anemic performances.

But yes, the stock market and GDP did well, which is odd given the employment numbers.

        1. “1. Trump has failed to lower inflation, despite that being a central plank of his presidential campaign. Now Trump is even claiming that “affordability” as a made-up crisis.”

Core inflation (the most reliable measure) is down to the lowest level in five years, and far lower than the 9% disaster of the Biden years. Wages are up.

“2. In 2025 there were less than 600,000 more jobs, an anemic performances.”

Compared to what…the Joe Biden ‘presidency’?

(did you hurt yourself with that painfully obvious contortion?)

Like it or not, the US economy will continue to improve and President Donald Trump will receive the credit for that improvement.

  9. As with Venezuela (Smartmatic), Trump now ready to exact some revenge on Canada (Dominion Voting Systems). Payback is a bitch.

  10. On Thursday, Trump suggested he run not just for a third term but for a FOURTH term as president, citing his “record numbers” (note — Trump’s approval rating has been declining steadily since his inaugeration).

These are not the words of a well man.

I cannot see Trump lasting this entire term. He is deteriorating rapidly, both physically and mentally. Even his diehard supporters will have to, at some point, admit that Trump is nuttier than squirrel poop. The question now is how much damage will he do before Article 25 is invoked.

    1. Now, it was only 4 years ago, but I’m still old enough to remember when we were confidently told that all the signs pointed to Putin’s collapsing health status.

      1. And we were told in 2020 that Biden had significant cognitive decline, the difference being that we could see Biden’s decline for ourselves. We didn’t have to depend on rumours.

There’s no way you can watch Trump walk, or see the bruises on his hands, or listen to his (noticably rarer) rambling incoherent speeches, or read his bizarre social media posts, and not conclude that he is deteriorating.

          1. “The man has been reduced to calling a lid at 2am. Beyond laughable delusion on your part.”

I know, right? Wouldn’t want to cut into his four hours of sleep time.

The man has amazing stamina for his age, I’ll give him that.

          1. No one with common sense could watch Trump’s speeches and think he’s right in the head.

I guess that doesn’t include you.

      2. Hey Killer Maggot – the Prez has won 3 in a row now, why not a fourth?
Have you read the Time article in 2021 about how they “Saved the Election?”

          1. Interesting scenario that I’m sure the Supreme Court would have all sorts of fun with.

But I figure the odds of Vance resigning the presidency after having won it are zero. He’s a Trump man, but first and foremost he’s a Vance man.

          2. Yeah … we had that here in CA too … but it didn’t stop Jerry Brown from serving 4-years as Gov. which pretty well ENDED the State of CA.

            … on a technicality.

I don’t remember you calling Jerry mentally compromised. Even though he was/is.

          3. I don’t remember you calling Jerry mentally compromised. Even though he was/is.

You’ve been following my posts since at least 2019, have you? I never knew I had such dedicated fans.

But no, you’re right, I rarely comment on California. It may horrify you to learn that most Canadians are not obsessed with your state.

          4. You poor thing, another confused brain that can’t understand that you’re being trolled. But hey, stay ranting and delusional.

          5. My mistake KM … I mistyped this morning. Jerry Brown served 4-TERMS as Gov. … 16 years. He may as well have been Dear Leader for LIFE of CA.

Despite 2-terms being the limit of the LAW

    2. Trump’s approval rating is at the same level as Obama’s and Biden’s at the same time in their presidencies. And that was WITH the tongue bathing of a Democrat media. Article 25 won’t be invoked because Trump is mentally ahead of virtually everyone in Congress. The funniest thing is that you are about ten steps behind where Trump is headed.

      1. Article 25 won’t be invoked because Trump is mentally ahead of virtually everyone in Congress.

This is a man who berated Norway — NORWAY — for not giving him the Nobel Peace Prize. He repeatedly confused Greenand and Iceland.

I can see average people confusing smaller countries, but these are issues that Trump has been obsessed with for a long time.

        1. Well, after all, it IS the Norwegian Nobel Committee that is appointed by the Parliament of Norway. Trump is just fine…..you are confusing the fact that Biden couldn’t carry ONE thought in his mind while Trump carries many at one time. Trump is at the same level as Obama and Biden were at the same time in their presidencies (assuming Biden even was President or just a cadaver pretending to be one) and that is even with the fawning and rubbish put out by the Democrat media.

          1. You are right. I was the one confused. I did not know that the Nobel Peace Prize was based in Norway rather than Sweden. I have fired my fact checker.

        1. killer unME
when yer not smart enough to grasp yer clueless as HE!!, learn to STFU. Yer TDS is showing, and yer dunning-krugerism is on display.
I’m Trumps age, and couldn’t keep up to him for love nor money, and locally I’m considered a force to behold, as most people my age can’t keep up to me.

          1. It’s a countdown for the 25 Amendment. He’s getting loopier than Biden. The unfortunate thing is Vance is as much an asshole as he is. Biden chose the idiot Harris to protect himself from the amendment. Trump might have chosen Vance for he same reason.

          2. The Democratic Party’s huge mistake was in not facing up to Biden’s mental decline early enough.

Had the DNC approached Biden in the summer of 2023 and asked him to not run again, making it clear they would not support him for a 2nd term, then the Democrats would have had a competitive primary with a solid suite of candidates, Harris would not have been their presidential nominee, and they might well have won in 2024.

The Republicans are in the process of making the same mistake. The later they put off facing reality, the greater the damage they’ll likely suffer. They’ll have moored themselves to a sinking ship.

          3. The Democratic Party’s huge mistake was in not facing up to Biden’s mental decline early enough.

The Democratic Party’s huge mistake was stealing the election in 2020. They pissed off a lot of people, Trump included, & now they’re paying big time for it.

          4. It certainly hurts me to see the man I worship deteriorate. That’s why I’ve gotten rid of all my mirrors.

      2. “Article 25 won’t be invoked because Trump is mentally ahead of virtually everyone in Congress.”

Hahahahahahahahahahaha! Dude, the man’s in his 70’s. He’s started his decline. He’ll be lucky if he finishes out his term. Unlike sleepy joe, grumpy Don doesn’t have the media in his back pocket. I still think Trump is way better than the Wine Mom, but that’s setting the bar really low.

On a more serious note, I do think Trump is starting to slip. It’s to be expected at his age considering the constant pressure he is under. I believe Trump cares about what happens to the average American and is trying to do right by them. I thought the first term Trump proved that he deserved back-to-back terms. And I think this iteration of Trump is doing what he does best, making deals, but is making some mistakes first term Trump would never had made.

All of that said, I think America should be proud that they have, and have had, Trump as president. I doubt the US has had a president this loyal to the American people since Reagan.

        1. “All of that said, I think America should be proud that they have, and have had, Trump as president. I doubt the US has had a president this loyal to the American people since Reagan.”

          Yeah, no doubt about that.

I think that someone close to Donald Trump needs to take him aside for a heart-to-heart talk. He simply cannot keep up this pace and needs to slow down. He has three years left in his term and the US economy will be in such good shape that he doesn’t need to worry about the mid-terms. SLOW DOWN…don’t try to do everything at once.

        2. Trump is mentally far ahead of every Democrat in the U.S. Trump is used to pressure….business people are bathed in it. Trump is moving too fast for the sleepy media to keep up. When paradigms shift, those who can’t make the transition go through the stages of grief.

        3. Didn’t Trump tell the Swiss that if it wasn’t for the US they would be speaking German today? Something is slipping.

    3. MSDNC has programmed you well. How many other delusional conspiracy theories will you parrot from Madcow.
      You sound VACCINATED.

    4. “These are not the words of a well man.”

These are the words of a man who knows exactly what those words will do to people like you…and he laughs himself to sleep every night thinking about it.

  11. Monday 26 January 2026 is the independence rally in Calgary… the location has moved about 100 yards from the previously announced location at the relatively new BMO Centre to the Big Four Roadhouse which has a capacity of about 30% more, it’s expected to be a busy day there, the Calgary C-train stops about 200 yards from the front door of the Big Four Roadhouse so don’t talk to me about places to park.

Doors open at 11 AM for all day signing of the petition to have a referendum to separate from Canada, you’ll need to show ID with your actual address and photo on it, (NOT a box number) and the speakers scheduled will be on stage from 7PM onwards. In the past, this has been posted to X/Twitter promptly if you’d rather just sign and get out of the large room and safely return to your bunker.

Expectations are of 8k other like minded folks who all want freedom and liberty from the current state of Canada being run into the ground by #Libranos and the Marx Carnage.

    1. Sincerely, Good Luck.
Say hello to all the CSIS and RCMP arseholes and look out for Liberal plants waving idiot flags.

    2. “https://x.com/RiseOfAlberta”

Why are they doing this in January, and not in the summer?

      1. The 120 days to complete the collection of 177k signatures ends about 1. April 2026 … I think there’s a verification process of some type, it gets presented to the Alberta Gov’t, they discuss and make a decision, then call a referendum on this in autumn 2026

If it was 120 days from April to July, we’d have the referendum in winter of 2026-27 and 90% of this winter has been warmer than usual here in AB so we can expect winter of 2027 to be an actually cold winter.
I don’t remember too many times when we’ve had 2-3 warm winters in a row here…

  12. Be naive to think a color revolution cannot happen here.
Who is funding groups like Coastal first nations ?
You cannot install new systems in any present organization unless you have decline in the standard of living.
Fascinating, when you step back and think how possible this really is.
Live in Sask so I see no downside, bring it on

  13. Did Carney make a deal with China for China to again dump products into Canada where minimal processing takes place, and then gets exported to the US as a “Canadian” product.

  14. Trump’s plan is even bigger and more beautifuller than just AB SK joining the US!

Trump is going to trick ON MB into taking that basket case of 3rd world lunatics known as Minnesota to be a new province. They’ll fit right in with the blazing dumpster fire sitting on top of a smouldering tire fire that what remains of Canada has become.

Maybe us eastern losers will get the bozos in Michigan as well as a bonus prize. Trump loves redrawing maps.

From ON I can only say…go AB, go SK! Get out while you still can! It’s too late for us non-Toronto Ontarians.

    RNrn

  15. I am beginning to think Carney is working for Trump. By fast tracking the complete demise of the Country, Canadians will soon be begging to join the USA. Offering us 1st and 2nd amendment rights, is enough to get my vote. The bonus of, No carbon tax, or punitive green fees and levies, No Woke & DEI, No beholden to the WHO and every other Globalist parasites, would be just the icing on the big beautiful cake.

    1. Carney works for the City of London, and has for years, BoC, BoE, both children and wards of that place.

  16. Then again…if you’re like me and believe Carney’s sole purpose on Earth is to obliterate Canada as a nation state for his and the WEF’s benefit, you could be forgiven if you think this is playing right into his hands.

  17. I’m sure Carney is just going to poach a couple more MP’s rather than going through the trouble of an election. I think the Nunavut NDP MP will cross.

    1. Yup!
Prolly lots of fckers just waiting for a piece of silver to be thrown their way…because TRUMP!

  18. FILTHY LIBERALS
    KILLER Marshmallow
I look forward to your Nervous Breakdown(s) when you finally figure out you are completely wrong about pretty much everything.
    Panama Canal
    Venezuela
    Greenland
    Alberta
    Cuba
    Mexico
    Snow Mexicans.
    One Big Beautiful Country.

Don’t worry teeny tiny little Marmot, one day you’ll meet someone who hates Liberty just as much as you do!
    FILTHY LIBERALS

    1. That doesn’t sound fanatical at all.

I’m a long-time conservative. It distresses me what people identifying as right wing have morphed into, thinking that hyperpartisanship, blind faith, and the worship of raw power constitute sound political thought and debate. They may be right wing, but they’re sure the hell not conservative.

      1. Worship of raw power isn’t confined to Conservatives; the Leninists were much worse.

          1. I don’t worship raw power. But I get awfully deferential to power when it’s properly cooked and seasoned.

        1. It tends to throw Reaganite classic liberals into the same bucket as imperialist totalitarian arseholes, so yeah, it’s not very useful.

      2. Conservatives who support tariffs, subsidies galore for everyone harmed by those tariffs, threats to sue private companies for not charging the “correct” prices and interfering with the right of businesses to hire non-citizens, aren’t really conservatives. They’re more aptly described as National Socialists.

        1. “Conservatives who support tariffs, subsidies galore for everyone harmed by those tariffs, threats to sue private companies for not charging the “correct” prices and interfering with the right of businesses to hire non-citizens, aren’t really conservatives.”

How would you know what an actual conservative would or would not support?

  19. Regarding choosing a VP who will secure his position as President, may I remind all of you that Nixon replaced Agnew with Ford and still got ousted. Ford was constantly the butt of jokes.

    1. Ford was the butt of jokes from lefty arsehole pencil neck Democrats for what, dropping a football? Even though he was recruited by at least 2 NFL teams. Politics is propaganda. Or is it the other way around?

  20. When you’re butt-hurt by the truth, respond by getting your elbows up.

We have a $60 billion deficit with the Chicoms.
    It will worsen.
Canada has or had a trade surplus of $100 billion with the US.
Only a self-destructive arsehole would fck with this.
We should call Mark the Mortician, Doctor Death.

Trump is right, the fcking Chicoms will own everything here if given the chance.
Carney will sell a Canadian plebe quicker than Juthtin Blackface will don a costume.
And if some think the non-prog Democrats are going to put up with a vassal state for China on their northern border, its because they’re retarded.

  21. AB, SK, and BC become US States.

YT, NT, and NU merge with Greenland to form new US State. Possible names include: Hoth, Upnort, Santaland, Extralargo, and Whyzzitsocold.

Here in the States, we look forward to welcoming our long lost brothers.

  22. Just Alberta? Oh no. Trump wants the whole enchilada. And If China wants a square inch of the Western Hemisphere, China will have to get through American steel and shot. The dragon is not going to be suffered to use Canada as a back door to an American all-you-can-eat buffet.

And when American troops arrive in Toronto’s White-flight suburbs, greeted by a grateful population with free beer, there’s nothing Olivia Chow will be able to do but stamp her foot like the sport little empress she is.

Actually, there’s damned little any self-styled defender of Canada’s honour will be able to do but:

    1. Surrender to the US armed forces and co-operate with them fully.

    2. Throw away his gun and flee to whatever country he hopes might give him asylum.

    3. Commit suicide or provoke the few good men sent to sort him out into making a martyr out of him.

This last has been a time-honoured tradition among Irish chauvinists, revolutionaries and terrorists, so Mark Carney apparently, plans to follow his fellow asset of his nation’s enemies, Patrick Pearse, into hell in much the same way.

    1. In the ’80s and ’90s, America willingingly handed its lunch over to the Chinese.

      1. It wasn’t just the Americans.
Canada, under the Corrupt Frog, Chretien, did so with great haste.

    1. No need to be eaten alive by an American alligator. The best strategy by far would be to align our economic and trade policies as tightly as possible with those of the U.S. because Canada (unlike the Trump administration) knows what it is doing and knows where the land mines are that have been planted over the past few decades while politicians slept.

      1. How would Canada do that when Trump has openly dismissed the idea of any trade deal with the US?

        1. “How would Canada do that when Trump has openly dismissed the idea of any trade deal with the US?”

Are you posting drunk, or something?

He JUST TOLD YOU how. By acting like a grownup and not a petulant child, and by ” align(ing) our economic and trade policies as tightly as possible with those of the U.S. ”

Read Joey’s post again. Slowly, this time.

          1. Here’s a quote from Donald Trump himself, from 8 days ago:

“If Canada can get a trade deal with China, they should do that.”

Canada did exactly what Trump said we should do. Now, apparently, that’s a bad thing. Maybe it’s Trump who’s doing a bunch of drunk posting.

    2. WTF are you going to say to Americans in three years?
Such short-sightedness is for politicians wanting to be re-elected or Elbows Up Retards who don’t understand that Geography is Destiny is All.

  23. One of Trump’s super powers is the ability to provoke morons to constantly underestimate him.

    1. Exactly, in a nutshell, right there.
After all these years, his opponents still don’t get it and refuse to acknowledge they get outsmarted.
      Crazy like a Fox.
Canada is in for terrible financial times.

    2. I’d say he’s provoking morons knowing they’ll react the way he wants them to.

  24. 100% tariff. Gonna need a bigger boat better deal.
This naturally will escalate to Canada having “no choice” but to cede itself to China. There’ll be a militarized land grab before Alberta casts its first vote.
Heh, that would be nice but I left out the mincing around and starving bit.
Before snowmobiles race across the tundra there will be many votes, procedural debates, court rulings, alliances, delays…. And there will be starving of course, well, freezing and starving; lots and lots of freezing and starving.
I’ve heard the word sovereignty being tossed around alot lately and I just wanted to ask why are you following the procedures of those you require independence from?
Best get a move on lest you become the ice weasels.

  25. National Post headline:

Liberals assure Trump: ‘no pursuit’ of free trade with China, after 100% tariff threat

    (gee, what a surprise…)

  26. Remember how NAFTA died? Canada bringing in Chinese goods and trying to peddle them to the USA as Canadian product?

Didn’t take Carney long to come full circle.

There is strong support here for exclusionary tariffs against Canada as a response. Don’t underestimate how much Americans are coming to actively dislike Canada under T and C.

    1. Even Stateside, a big reason Wall Street supported NAFTA was that dirt-poor Mexicans could be persuaded to take on manufacturing jobs previously done by White American men for a fraction of what it cost a White American man to raise a family on a single paycheque.

Wall Street, we soon learnt, had better uses for military-age White American “Reagan Democrats” than building cars—such as cannon fodder for hire by the House of Saud. Everything else that needed doing could be outsourced to Mexico, at first, and ultimately Red China.

The Libranos clearly didn’t learn anything from the experience. But “Reagan Democrats” saw too many of their brothers come home from Iraq dead, crippled or insane for want of honest civilian jobs *not* to learn. And they eventually voted for Donald Trump.

  27. https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxFYgJ_OdSJLeyql4stjcerjR8Vl45IXiY

“Imagine a foreign leader having to publicly say “China will NOT take over Canada.”

The one thing Marc Nixon forgot to add is this: “Imagine 30%, 40%, 50%, or more of Canadians eagerly screaming, ‘Yes, China, PLEASE take us over! We absolutely want Canada to be more like China in every way, TODAY!!!”

I never thought my homeland would reach such a sorry state, yet here we are.

  28. “With our economy under threat from abroad. Canadians have made a choice: to focus on what we can control,” Carney claimed in a new campaign-style video.

Guess what, Mark? Your globalist and Red Chinese friends don’t control President Trump.

President Trump, however, happens to control the armed forces of the United States, and can see to it you’re cooling your heels in Gitmo within 48 hours, if nothing else will convince you to stop biting the hand that feeds you.

If the CCP were genuinely grateful for your services, they’d have offered you a new identity and a new career in one of China’s state-owned banks, managing the PLA’s nest-egg. If you had the sense God gave a mick, you’d have taken them up on it.

But the CCP consider anyone who isn’t Han Chinese or has outlived his usefulness to the Party—or both—to have no more intrinsic value than an old cat past catching mice. The cat will struggle as you stuff it into a bag before dumping it in the nearest convenient river, but that’s to be expected.

So I suppose we’re doing this the hard way.

Me, I simply thank God that He didn’t see fit to make me a cat, a Chinaman or a mick.

    1. You are constantly fantasizing about the United States overthrowing and imprisoning democratically elected leaders.

      1. “Democratically elected leaders?” No. I only oppose the overthrow of petty tyrants who represent only the members of the CCP Politburo who hand-picked them.

Mark Carney couldn’t have won a free and fair election for Ottawa dog-catcher. He was parachuted into Nepean riding, where the Liberals could have run an Indian pariah dog and gotten it into Parliament. As it was, the “Indo-Canadian” gangsters who had thrust Chandra Arya into office three times in Nepean dutifully ordered their community to the polls to vote for Mark, and the community did what they were told.

Donald Trump can proudly claim to have been chosen by the American people as their leader three times (over the objections of China, the globalists and their “Democratic” friends who paid Maduro a king’s ransom to rig US elections) with a mandate to take their side against China, gangs and globalists, which is what he has done.

Mark.Carney represents himself, his CCP handlers, the ethnic gangsters that thrust him and most of his fellow Libranos into office, and no one else at all. He doesn’t speak for me. He doesn’t speak for any Canadian who doesn’t belong in a prison or insane asylum.

And no, I can’t wait to see him being dragged out of Rideau Cottage, dead or alive.

Or to proudly vote in a free and fair election for the new state of Ontario to join the United States—truly free and fair because an American soldiers will be posted at every polling station to make the patsies of ethnic gangsters think twice before interfering with the will of genuine North Americans who work for a living, believe in God, and want their government to be their servant, not an overseer working for their Chinese master.

Democratically elected. You’ve been voting Tory your entire adult life. Why, pray, did you bother? Can you honestly say that anyone in Ottawa ever gave a damn what you wanted? There was the occasional Canadian politician who was serious about changing things. Ask Maxime Bernier how much luck he had with that.

Heck, ask Preston Manning what good it did Albertans to vote Social Credit in 1935, only to have all Bible Bill’s attempts to change things shot down by the Librano-controlled Supreme Court.

If you want someone in charge who doesn’t jump when people who consider you born to be their slave say hop, either a few good Canadians are going to have to get their hands dirty—as in Chile in 1973—or a few good Americans will have to do it for them. The choice cannot be avoided forever.

      2. This fits the trend with MAGA supporters constantly fantasizing about imposing martial law in states that don’t vote the right way. If they get away with that, it’s only a matter of time until they do it to neighboring countries.

        1. I don’t know what to tell you, Dennis, that I haven’t already said.

Maybe that if you’re a madman in authority openly plotting against the United States, you have no right to complain when Uncle Sam pushes you aside in favour of someone with more sense than that.

The fact that you somehow bewitched some AWFULs, their poolboys, and the clients of ethnic gangsters to stuff ballot boxes in your favour (over the objection of everyone in your jurisdiction who depends on his brains for his bread and doesn’t owe his soul to the Chinese or an ethnic mafia) doesn’t make you exempt from the consequences of making an enemy out of Uncle Sam—whether you hold court in Santiago de Chile or Sacramento, California.

  29. Since the USA are majority shareholders of all things Canada, it is incumbent upon the Board to acquiesce to the shareholders wishes. Either buck up and cooperate or we the American shareholders will conduct a hostile takeover in which the minority Canadian shareholder will realize pennies on the dollar. You have been forewarned. Govern yourselves accordingly.

    1. I’m game. Those Canadian shareholders in things Canada will actually realize a good return on their investment.

If the former government of Canada owes you money, though, you’re in for a world of hurt. The US government will have no reason to gonour the former Canadian government’s debts.

That includes obligations of the pension funds which Canadian government employees are depending on to support their luxurious lifestyle in their “golden years.”

Instead, they’ll be depending in their old age on the generosity of any children whom they suffered to escape the womb alive, who aren’t in a closed institution, and who will still speak to their parents if they can at all avoid it. I doubt many are blessed with such children.

  30. “The last thing the World needs is to have China take over Canada. It’s NOT going to happen, or even come close to happening!”
Trump, maybe slipping but he has more common sense than Carney.
Myself people here seeming to be above a certain bias are failing.
Anybody not seeing this happen when Carney was butt kissing in China doesn’t deserve to comment on Trump.
And it’s going to get worse .
This is what Carney wanted ….all along.
New World Order and we will come in near last.
But Trump’s the problem ? No we are. By the ways it’s a little damn late to argue about Conservatism when it comes to Canada.
It’s not going back to the way it was.
Progs either get called out and flattened .
Or the misery is going to go on for years.
The liberals were in for ten years , they should have seen this coming, especially not liking Trump.
