‘If Mann cannot even be trusted to tell the truth when he’s under oath & in court on pain of perjury, why on earth should any of us take him seriously on the subject of climate change?’
Fly The Net Zero Skies
• Heathrow closed: London’s Heathrow Airport is completely shut down because of a power outage due to a large fire nearby, causing massive disruption at one of the world’s busiest travel hubs. The fire is now under control, but Heathrow’s backup power supply was also affected.
• Thousands impacted: Heathrow’s closure is expected to affect more than 1,300 flights. An airline analytics firm estimated that “upwards of 145,000” passengers could be impacted, and Heathrow is warning of significant disruption in the coming days. Trains around Heathrow have also been disrupted.

No flights, no power, no problem! Soon, we won’t need airports at all—just bikes, windmills, and virtue signalling.

Of course: Heathrow had diesel generators for emergency back-up if the grid went down. Sadly they removed the back-up a few weeks ago in order to meet Green Energy targets.
Coulda’ Had A Pipeline
National Post- Two cross-country pipelines could’ve diverted $38.4 billion from the U.S., new study finds
The tariff war with the United States could have been very different if Canada had decided to build the Energy East and LNG Quebec pipelines over the past decade, according to a new study by the Montreal Economic Institute.
In 2023, Canada exported 97 per cent of its crude oil to the United States.

Sylvain Charlebois- Farmers pay the price for Ottawa’s electric vehicle obsession
Betting billions on a speculative EV industry while leaving Canadian farmers and seafood harvesters to pay the price is proof that in this trade war, agriculture is just collateral damage
A Carney Con?
Sun- Carney’s carbon tax ‘cut:’ Nothing more than smoke and mirrors
Here’s the truth: Carney didn’t repeal the carbon tax. He didn’t scrap the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act, which is the legislation that gives the federal government the power to impose and raise the carbon tax whenever they want. All he did was press pause. The infrastructure is still in place. The federal government still holds the power to reinstate the tax at any time — and raise it to whatever level suits their political needs.
Even the CBC panel isn’t buying it.

A Big Beautiful Road
BBC- Amazon forest felled to build road for climate summit
A new four-lane highway cutting through tens of thousands of acres of protected Amazon rainforest is being built for the COP30 climate summit in the Brazilian city of Belém.
It aims to ease traffic to the city, which will host more than 50,000 people – including world leaders – at the conference in November.

Ross McKitrick- Carney to lead Canada after trying for years to defund it
Carney is a climate zealot. He may try to fool Canadians into thinking he wants new pipelines, liquified natural gas (LNG) terminals and other hydrocarbon infrastructure, but he doesn’t. Far from it. He wants half the existing ones gone by 2030 and the rest soon after.
The Backfiring Sparky Car
Many more such incidents resulting in “lost value” and there will be no economy left capable of generating any value at all.
The Legault government has poured $270 million in Swedish parent company Northvolt AB, and Fréchette confirmed this sum “has lost its value.” The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec has also invested $200 million in the company.
Quebec granted Northvolt a further $240 million for the purchase of land in the Montérégie region. This sum is secured by collateral on the land and assets of Northvolt’s North America subsidiary, Fréchette said.
Would A Tax By Any Other Name Smell As Sweet?
Sun- Carney isn’t killing the carbon tax
What he actually says he is going to do is to fold Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s fuel charge (a.k.a. the “consumer carbon tax” on 22 forms of fossil fuel energy, including gasoline and natural gas) into an “improved and tightened” existing cap-and-trade regime covering large industrial emitters, known as the output-based pricing system (OBPS).
Cap and trade is a carbon tax by another name, although less visible to the public.
