Restoring Science To Its Rightful Place
Somewhere in the Middle Ages:
They live in some of the nicest neighbourhoods on Earth – places like Marin County, Napa and Malibu. But they believe that vaccines cause autism or worse. Immunization rates in some of the more fashionable California schools resemble those in the more backward parts of Africa. At the Valley Waldorf City School in Lake Balboa, for example, 88 per cent of students don’t have the standard vaccinations.

Tonight’s musical selection en route to the tips will have you reaching for your shillelaghs, as Dublin-born uilleann piper Sean McKeown prepares you for a pitched battle with those smelly, cross-eyed invaders scrambling over yonder hill with a medley of The Wild Geese & The Strawberry Blossom.
Don’t be fooled by the pastoral sounding titles.

An Egyptian court on Saturday dropped its case against ousted President Hosni Mubarak, his interior minister and six aides on charges of ordering the killing of protesters during the 2011 revolt that removed him from power.
The court also cleared Mubarak and a former oil minister of graft charges related to gas exports to Israel.

Via The Register;
“Our surveys indicate that the floes are much thicker and more deformed than reported by most drilling and ship-based measurements of Antarctic sea ice,” the team reported in the journal Nature Geoscience on Monday.
“Mean drafts range from 1.4 to 5.5 metres, with maxima up to 16 metres.
“We suggest that thick ice in the near-coastal and interior pack may be under-represented in existing in situ assessments of Antarctic sea ice and hence, on average, Antarctic sea ice may be thicker than previously thought.”
The survey was carried out by an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), dubbed SeaBED, which has spent the past four years surveying 500,000 square metres of ice thicknesses in the Weddell, Bellingshausen and Wilkes Land sections of Antarctica for British, US and Australian scientists.

Is There Nothing That Obama Can’t Do?
What we are witnessing is nothing less than a Gangster uprising. The African American culture is by and large one of idolization and worship of violent criminals, this violent behavior on their part is the inescapable result of a culture that assaults education, honestly, moral, ethical or virtuous behavior and instead glorifies and rewards violent criminal behavior.
But do not make the mistake of thinking that that is all this is about. This my friends, is nothing less than a loaded gun pointed at the head of America with the none to subtle threat, Impeach Barack Obama, and we’ll burn America to the ground. Wake up and smell the burning rubble America. The Fifth Column Treasonous Media, the Whitehouse and the Department of Injustice set these wheels in motion very much on purpose to prevent anyone from even remotely considering Impeaching his Imperial Majesty Barack Hussein Obama the first.

I Felt A Great Disturbance In The Narrative
Shawn Parcells became an instant media star in August after assisting in a private autopsy commissioned by the family of slain teen Michael Brown. Parcells showed up constantly on TV news as a forensic pathology expert, and claimed to have testified in court dozens of times in several states over the years. He also claims to be a professor. “But an investigation by CNN that included interviews with attorneys, law enforcement and physicians suggests Parcells isn’t the expert he seems to be.”
Actually, the investigation makes him out to be a “con artist,” “manipulator,” and “fraud,” according to pathology experts interviewed for the piece.

Mr. Awan is now a lawyer in Saskatchewan, but in 2007 he was the public face of a campaign to protest the representation of Muslims in Maclean’s magazine. This led to three failed human rights complaints and spurred Canada’s first online culture war over the hate speech section of the Canadian Human Rights Act.
That law has since been repealed by the Harper government and this case was one of the last loose ends in the broader conflict. As a total victory for Mr. Awan, it represents the revenge of the “sock puppet.”
