Fakenews

Shocking, I know.

What is the company hiding? Fusion GPS describes itself as a “research and strategic intelligence firm” founded by “three former Wall Street Journal investigative reporters.” But congressional sources says it’s actually an opposition-research group for Democrats, and the founders, who are more political activists than journalists, have a pro-Hillary, anti-Trump agenda.
“These weren’t mercenaries or hired guns,” a congressional source familiar with the dossier probe said. “These guys had a vested personal and ideological interest in smearing Trump and boosting Hillary’s chances of winning the White House.”

Empowered Nipples

Joe Simonson on the latest innovation in anti-Trump “resistance”:

Just Nips [are] the “official nipples of The Resistance movement,” according to founder Molly Borman. Started last January in time for the Women’s March, Just Nips provides synthetic nipples that you can wear over your bra or over your nipples. The product “cements the idea that women can and should do whatever they want,” Borman told me over the phone. In this case, “whatever they want” means making random people in public think you’re not wearing a bra — for empowerment or something.

One of these.

Sarah Palin commiserates.

The Sanders have a problem.

Sanders and his wife have been trying to ignore the federal investigation since reporters for VTDigger, an online publication, confirmed the FBI’s involvement in April. The original request for an investigation into the potential bank fraud did indeed come from Brady Toensing, an attorney who chaired Trump’s Vermont campaign, and whose January 2016 letter to the U.S. attorney for Vermont put federal agents on the trail. (Toensing, in an email to Politico Magazine, notes, “The investigation was started more than a year ago under President Obama, his Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and his United States Attorney, all of whom are Democrats.”)

Two games in

So far it looks like everyone is still in pre-season mode, everyone that is except the Ottawa RedBlacks. It shouldn’t surprise, final cuts were only a week ago so players and coaches are still working on their plays.
My predictions are way off so far. Saskatchewan is better than I thought, Calgary weaker, Montreal certainly aren’t week one contenders and Ottawa doesn’t look like they took a break between the Grey Cup and last night.
An unusually positive article on the CFL from Sportsnet. I’m sure Donnovan Bennett will be punished because the phrase “Canadian Football” isn’t allowed in properties owned by Rogers.
The so-called Command Centre needs some work. I appreciate the video reviews when they make corrections to a problem on the field. The called-back fumble last night that allowed Calgary to retain possession and score was definitely a fumble. I think the Rider touchdown the night before should also have been a fumble. Other than those two reviews nothing else stands out as a ‘bad call’.
We’ll see tonight if it gets better when (IMO) the two best teams in the West go head to head.

Electronic Nicotine Saves Lives

Via Instapundit we find out that San Francisco is going to ban the sales of flavoured e-liquid.
Yes, the do-gooders are all about killing people. Is it cool to be a fog machine on the bus? No. In the restaurant? No. Should it be restricted to over 18? Yes. Is it a gateway to smoking? No study has ever shown that.
Why is it the same side of the political spectrum calls me a ‘denier’ for questioning the veracity of magic 8-ball computer models and yet gleefully ignores all of the real actual science when it comes to electronic nicotine?
