The next time you hear sweet cooings about “social justice, equity and inclusion,” you may want to bear in mind the kinds of creatures most attracted to these things.

I know of no other situation like this, in any party, in any part of Canada, where an officer of a party is essentially putting hits out on Canadian citizens. Does Oger have some kind of dirt on the @bcndp brain trust? Trying to think of some explanation for this bizarreness

The Scruton Tapes
Sometimes a scandal is not just a scandal, but a biopsy of a society. So it is with the assault on Sir Roger Scruton, who in recent weeks has been smeared in the media, fired by the government and had his life’s work assailed. Scruton is the latest, though far from the first victim of the modern outrage mob. […]
The hit job on Sir Roger can be seen as a classic of the genre: he was sacked within five hours of the Twitter storm breaking. His fate offers a perfect case study in the art of modern character assassination. Except that in this instance, it unravelled and the whole nature of the trick can now be exposed. It is worth examining in some detail.

There is an uncivil war between old do-nothing Democrats and new do crazy Democrats.

Southern Poverty Law Scam “Implodes”
““Outside of work,” recalls Bob Moser of his days working for the organization, “we spent a lot of time drinking and dishing in Montgomery bars and restaurants about … the hyperbolic fund-raising appeals, and the fact that, though the center claimed to be effective in fighting extremism, ‘hate’ always continued to be on the rise, more dangerous than ever, with each year’s report on hate groups. ‘The S.P.L.C.— making hate pay,’ we’d say.”

What’s The Opposite Of Diversity?
President Trump will sign an executive order Thursday requiring colleges and universities to ensure free speech on campus, in the wake of cases of conservatives being attacked for expressing their views.
A senior administration official said Mr. Trump’s order will require colleges that receive federal research grant money to certify that they “promote free inquiry.”
“The president strongly supports cultivating free speech and open inquiry in higher education,” the official said. “American institutions of higher education should promote open, intellectually engaging debate which is critical to create the next generation of leaders.”

May the monster devour its creators, and their sons and daughters.
The video was taken Friday at a vigil in New York for the 49 victims of the shootings, which targeted two mosques in the city of Christchurch. Students confronted Clinton, who is pregnant with her third child, over statements she’d made denouncing anti-Semitism.
“This right here is the result of a massacre stoked by people like you and the words that you put out into the world,” one student said in the video. “I want you to know that and I want you to feel that deep inside. The 49 people died because of the rhetoric you put out there.”

If It Wasn’t For Fake Hate, There’d Be No Hate At All
When the home of Nikki Joly burned down in 2017, killing five pets, the FBI investigated it as a hate crime.
After all, the transgender man and gay rights activist had received threats after having a banner year in this conservative town.
In the prior six months, he helped open the city’s first gay community center, organized the first gay festival and, after 18 years of failed attempts, helped lead a bruising battle for an ordinance that prohibits discrimination against gays.

But the best way to gauge if a person is merely being “critical” of Israel’s policies or critical of the existence of the Jewish state is to use Natan Sharansky’s 3-d test: 1) Do they engage in “delegitimization” of the nation’s existence as every supporter of Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) does? 2) Do they engage in “demonization” of that country, as people who claim Israelis hypnotize the world for evil or go around murdering children for kicks do? 3) Do they engage in “double standards,” like having an obsession with Israel and AIPAC, while ignoring illiberalism found throughout the Islamic world or things like Muslim concentration camps found in China?
