I think step 1 for the commies will be to apply a capital gains tax to your principal residence, because after all it’s so unfair that I only paid $100K for my first house in 1986. When they spend all that money on housing refugees and climate change, then they’ll go after what ever you got left when you die with the 100% inheritance tax. If you grant the premise that no one should receive an inheritance because they didn’t earn it directly, by what right does that entitle the state to seize those assets? Need is the pretense. Need is the excuse. Its fundamental evil premise is more like ‘What is yours, is not really yours–it really belongs to the state. And the state has only temporarily granted you license to make use of it.’

All that will happen is every man of substance will make sure to spend every penny before they die to spite the State, and the rest will do nothing at all.
