I was in Columbus last month. We saw it. I pulled a U turn through the parking lot of a child learing center on Cleveland Ave that had few signs of life, grass growing long and trash littered all around the building. When you began looking around the area, the signs were everywhere.

As people have realized the United States government will pay them to hang out with their own families, northeast Columbus has seen its economy replaced by businesses that bill Medicaid. And Columbus, a city with the second largest Somali population in the country, has become, on the surface, the most unhealthy city on the planet.

“Well if the government is going to pay you to do it,” one home health operator told me. “People see it as lucrative, so they just jump on it.”

The new welfare queens aren’t the recipients whose low incomes qualify them for poverty programs. They’re the companies getting rich off them.

Driving down Cleveland Avenue, in less than 40 seconds you come across endless home health companies. Capital Home Health; Continental Home Health; Dynamic Home Healthcare; Ohio Senior Home Healthcare. Entire buildings throughout the city are filled entirely with what appear to be identical businesses.[…]

Pick the owner of a Columbus home health care company at random and look him up in public records, and you are likely to go down an endless rabbit hole: years of unpaid taxes and debts, sometimes criminal records, and an astonishing number of LLCs created in other industries, as if the millions they make from Medicaid are just a side gig.

Thankfully, such a thing could never happen here.

Jay Swanson, a former state trooper who ran a fraud investigations unit within Minnesota’s Department of Human Services (DHS) from 2014 to 2018, delivered the bombshell testimony on Tuesday.

His revelations came on the same day that federal agents raided more than 20 businesses as part of the Trump administration’s crackdown on fraud in Minneapolis.

Swanson told the Minnesota House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Policy Committee that the state ‘tried to cover up fraud allegations’ years before Governor Tim Walz was accused of shutting the investigations down.. […]

He said when his team reported this finding, they were ‘harassed and bullied’ by officials.

‘I soon had a senior DHS official in my office, angry, red-faced, and almost yelling. The senior DHS official told me to delete a number of paragraphs of the document. I then advised this official that I believed what they were telling me to do was illegal,’ Swanson testified.

‘I can’t tell you how shocked we were to come to the Department of Human Services and learn after a few years that not only was the theft of untold millions of dollars tolerated, but those who tried to stop it would be subjected to the wrath of high-ranking department officials.’

A female ex-Mayor was today jailed for three years for helping her son hide incriminating evidence after he raped an unconscious 15-year-old girl.

Former Labour Mayor Naheed Ejaz, 61, was slammed by a judge for trying to cover up her son’s crime after he raped the teenager while she was blacked out.

Ejaz refused to let police officers into her home for over a minute and a half and spoke Urdu to her son, Diwan Khan, so he could hide his phone which contained damning evidence.

Jailing the former Mayor of Bracknell in Berkshire, a judge told Ejaz that she ‘chose to protect’ her 41-year-old son despite knowing that his crime involved an ‘underage girl’.

Yuvaraj Krishnan treated patients at Middlemore Hospital using completely forged medical qualifications. He wasn’t caught by background checks — he was recognised by a colleague who knew him from years earlier, when he had already posed as a fake medical student at the University of Auckland.

This wasn’t a one-off. Sophisticated document fraud networks in India are mass-producing fake degrees, transcripts, and professional certificates for jobs and student visas abroad. From massive fake degree scandals involving tens of thousands of bogus qualifications, to migration agents specialising in forged documents — the problem is global and growing.

Now, with New Zealand’s new India FTA removing caps on Indian students and fast-tracking skilled workers, the risks are about to skyrocket. How many more unqualified “doctors”, nurses, and professionals are already here — and how many more are coming?

On the subject of parents being shocked to discover, belatedly, what their children are actually being taught, these three incidents came to mind. Among many others. Note, in the third link, the casual invention of a fake curriculum – yes, a fake curriculum – so as to deceive any curious parents. And all while insisting, “This is not being deceitful.”

In light of which, the “anti-fascist” snuff-video session mentioned above – the one for other people’s ten-year-olds – doesn’t exactly scream anomaly or aberration, or some unfortunate misreading of the room, so much as a ratcheting upwards.

BREAKING: DOJ confirms to @FoxNews that FBI and HSI agents are currently raiding 20+ locations in the Minneapolis, MN area in relation to ongoing federal fraud investigations. Sources tell FOX the locations are largely Somali linked businesses, including the infamous “Quality Learning Center”. I’m told these are court approved search warrants being served and they are tied to fraud, not immigration enforcement. Fox is told 22 search warrants were executed in Minnesota this morning.

DOJ spokesperson holding statement: “Today the FBI with federal, state and local law enforcement is involved in court-authorized law enforcement activity as part of an ongoing fraud investigation.”

SMS stands for Short Message Service. An SMS blaster mimics a legitimate cell tower, but when nearby phones connect to it, users receive fraudulent text messages that appear to come from trusted organizations.

These messages prompt recipients to click on links that lead to fake websites designed to capture personal information, a tactic known as SMS phishing or “smishing.”

This marks the first known instance of this technology being used in Canada and highlights an emerging threat to both public safety and financial security, police said in a news release.
