To become a rookie driver in CA … I had to watch the film Red Asphalt. A gruesome film depicting the consequences of disobeying traffic rules … such as ignoring STOP SIGNS! I can still remember the image of a headless torso rolled up into the wheel well of a wrecked car. Gruesome. Yeah, it made an impression. Two girls fainted in my Drivers Ed. class of about 50 kids, and one almost made it out of the class before throwing up.
