Heh heh heh heh.

He said, “CF-18”.*

Meanwhile,

Islamic State insurgents carried out mass executions, sold women into sex slavery and recruited child fighters, according to a United Nations report that paints a grim picture of the extremist group.

My Editor Hates Me

This twaddle made me laugh out loud in places.
This, in reference to ISIS:

These young people aren’t monsters and haven’t had their brains or bodies snatched. They’re going through adolescence. It’s dicey.

Are you a bad parent? Have you ever said this? “Now, now, Johnny. No beheading the kids at school!” Don’t you know the first thing Johnny is going to do now is behead little Janie? Rick Salutin told me so.

So what is parents’ role? It’s not telling their kids what to do, since they’ll almost certainly not do it. And even more, not telling them what not to do, since they’ll likely do that, or try it out.

How about this J-school example of ladder logic:

All revoking citizenship does is dehumanize its targets, since citizenship is a human right. Do we really want Stephen Harper or Chris Alexander to decide who counts as human and who to exclude as monsters? This is sheer incitement of more anger and alienation.

So, lemons are purple?
This is an even better example of idiocy when you click on the hyperlink in the article…it goes to this. An article about revoking the Canadian citizenship of…da da dumm…dual citizenship holders. So, relax, Rick, humanity saved, they’re still citizens of Somalia, Lebanon or wherever.
It’s the Toronto Star and wherever Shiny Pony’s mouth leads, they must defend. Maybe it’s satire, right? Right?
It must be satire.

Well Written

One question though, what if they are that naive?

Our guess is that more than meets the eye is going on here. Surely Trudeau and his team aren’t actually this naïve about how the media world works.
We’ve argued in this space that Trudeau needs to drop the platitudes and start talking about real policies. More people are joining this call. Perhaps the Liberal leader is feeling the heat and is looking for an easy way to avoid hard questions.

You know, it’s a good thing Trudeau doesn’t live in England, their tabloids would destroy a weakling like him.

Naive children.

This damning article from AP is Drudge’s headline article.
Can we all agree now that Hamas is a terrorist organization uninterested in peace? I’m looking at you fools in the White House and State Dept. Your sixities, “make love not war” notions of how the world works made the situation worse. Worse for the Palestinian civilians, worse for Israel, and worse for you.
I mean, is it really that hard for John Kerry and Barack Obama to not look like complete idiots?

IRSgate

Juan Williams: “This whole idea that we’re now to Watergate and burning tapes … I mean that … you’d have to … that’s quite a leap for me.”
George Will: “It’s a leap when six, not only Lois Lerner’s hard drive crashes 10 days after they get the letter from Dave Camp, the chairman of the appropriate committee, but SIX others do?!? Including those of the person who was the Chief of Staff to the IRS commission who was fired. And you know what the response to this is – Charles talks about the incompetence demonstrated here and that’s the default explanation of what government does a lot of the time – but the beauty of this – it’s almost an elegant thing – Commissioner Koskinen has said, as the perfect bureaucrat would, that all of this is evidence that the IRS needs a bigger appropriation so it can get better computers.”
Watching Juan Williams, one can’t help but remember this guy.
Update: Bill O’Reilly illustrates the rampant media coverup of this story.

UN Human Rights “Expert” Declares Britain Most Sexist Country

South African Rashida Manjoo visited the UK recently and declared it the most sexist country in the world. James Delingpole has some thoughts about Ms. Manjoo and her findings:

Ms (bound to be a ‘Ms’, isn’t she?) Manjoo based her views on meetings with “UK government officials, civil society organisations and individual survivors of violence”, as well as on her observations of the “easy availability of porn, the use of social media including influencing young children around images” and what she called “harassment on the Tubes.” By this last she appears to be referring to the latest trend for taking pictures of women eating on the London Underground and posting them onto Facebook under the heading “Women Who Eat On Tubes.”

Reading through the numerous comments on the left-leaning Guardian newspaper is comedic gold.
