On last night’s TV News they said we currently have 115 forest fires burning in B.C. We have one just across the Lake in West Kelowna, which is giving us a little smoke-hazy respite from the searing 40c heat.

Prime Minister Harper did not “let Kyoto lapse”, he actively resigned from it just weeks before the deadline, to save us from billions in cost for no benefit. His stampede speech said “no carbon tax”, without any Alberta specifics.

Short of a constitutional amendment there isn’t anything Stephen Harper can do that can’t be undone by some terrorist like Justin. So yeah his inaction is exactly appropriate. Abbott has to fight because the greens destroyed Australia and he has to clean it up.
