South African Rashida Manjoo visited the UK recently and declared it the most sexist country in the world. James Delingpole has some thoughts about Ms. Manjoo and her findings:
Ms (bound to be a ‘Ms’, isn’t she?) Manjoo based her views on meetings with “UK government officials, civil society organisations and individual survivors of violence”, as well as on her observations of the “easy availability of porn, the use of social media including influencing young children around images” and what she called “harassment on the Tubes.” By this last she appears to be referring to the latest trend for taking pictures of women eating on the London Underground and posting them onto Facebook under the heading “Women Who Eat On Tubes.”
Reading through the numerous comments on the left-leaning Guardian newspaper is comedic gold.
Britain has been one of the most treacherous countries on earth.

Ed, I agree with you completely, but this isn’t an unusual position for a liberal like her to find herself in. She complains about sexism in the UK but should be looking at her own country. Although she wouldn’t, because then she would be accused of being racist. Virtually all of the rapes occur in the black townships.
Usually when a liberal accuses you of something it is as if they should be holding a mirror in front of themselves. I did not know that. Please list “the most treacherous countries on earth” and tell us which one of them Britain has been.
She reminds me of the UN food security expert who came here to investigate instead of any of the many places where he couldn’t secure good meals (and hotel accommodations, etc.) There are a lot of places where Rashid Manjoo, being a woman, would have found it much less pleasant, even dangerous, to be a woman investigating the level of sexism. So she didn’t go to those places.
I invite Rashida to cow-town for some facial treatments, perhaps tidy up those spots on her face and pretty her up a bit, ease her bitterness out some. Then we’ll go shopping for some cute sun dresses and take in some sights…
