Obama is such a dufus. I think he actually believes Hamas is looking for a way to resolve differences and co-exist on friendly terms with Israel. The fact that is most obvious to everyone else is that Hamas has no desire to live peaceably with anyone, just like terrorists everywhere it’s not about that. Sometimes I think it mainly about not having to get a real job when running around bombing and shooting brings on so much more of a rush.
Obama should just stay on the golf course.

It is in general a bad idea for a government person to talk much in public. It was the first (of a great many) defects that I noted in Obama. I knew that people would become sick of hearing him and sick of listening to him. Obama may have read Frantz Fanon but he never has read Machiavelli – probably just as well for us.
I do hope that two more years is enough time for Americans to get their minds around restructuring their government and their great republic. That they have allowed America to be turned into Zimbabwe is their eternal shame. Mind you, I do think that Robert Mugabe, armed thug though he is, is a better leader than Obama.

All my relatives seem to working at oilpatch jobs in Arab countries for obscene amounts of money. Not sure what it is but work isn’t high on the scale of priorities. They pay infidels 1,000 bucks a day to do it for them.

Just as an aside . How would Americans or Canadians take someone telling them when they should have a truce in the middle of a war? One of the strategic reasons for remaining in the UN, and one for which the US willingly maintains the property in NY, is intel. The UN, notwithstanding its duplicity as an organization, is a hotbed of international “gossip” that is regularly mined by all participants. It’s the epitome of the “old boy’s club”, where corridor whispering and winks and nods are the stuff of deals of all stripes. The US, of course, hears and sees it all.
Just to add, a working example of the expression “hold your friends close, but hold your enemies closer”. It should be noted too, that the US is one of the slowest participants to pony up their share of the bill to run the UN. Keeps the UN needy…

Actually the US went a short period paying nothing, like the USSR….then Carter et al started to pay again.
The US stopped paying when they got tired of paying the lions share only to be constantly denounced by the UN, while the Soviets and “the Non-aligned Nations” who paid nothing ran the agenda. That UN ruling cabel paid no money and only provided corrupt executives….for a large fee. The US decided they didn’t feel like paying to get constantly insulted.
Since the US has recommenced payments the UN has been more polite to the US and devotes it’s bile towards Israel.
