Peter Wehner;

In the aftermath of President Obama’s now-obvious-to-all sequester overreach-in which he first predicted the end of the world as we know it, then backed away from those claims once the cuts went into effect, then attempted to inflict maximum pain on the American people, and is now blaming the Secret Service for the stupid and unnecessary decision to shut down White House tours-something is changing.

Benghazi Survivors Still Secret

Six months in…

Republican lawmakers are threatening to subpoena U.S. survivors of the terrorist attack in Benghazi.
Exasperated GOP members say unless they get more answers from the White House, they will call on the survivors to testify before Congress, and might hold up President Obama’s nomination to replace the U.S. ambassador who was killed on Sept. 11, 2012 in Libya.

[R]eports that as many as 30 Americans may have been wounded in the attack — including seven treated at Walter Reed — have put Benghazi back in the spotlight.

Why Not A White Star Sewn On Their Clothing?

CNS News;

[The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction] devotes an entire Web page to “Power and Privilege,” including links to racial justice workshops and online tests where VISTA volunteers can “learn about your personal bias.”
One “diversity” document linked to DPI’s Web site suggests that white people “wear a white wristband as a reminder about your privilege, and as a personal commitment to explain why you wear the wristband.”

“That said, I have to wonder why a non-threat was reacted to with near hysteria by the TDSB and investigated while death threats to Tarek Fatah do not merit consideration by the TPS?” asked Lemaire. “To my mind this was simply an effort by the TDSB to intimidate me into silence and is plainly an abuse of power. It won’t work, but I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that an organization that holds up psychopaths such as Che Guevara and the Black Panthers as role models for children would resort to such thuggery.”

2013 Bloggies (Bumped)

Don’t vote for SDA because I ask you to – vote for SDA to piss off the Star Phoenix.

SDA is nominated in the Best Canadian category (for the first time).
The voting period closes Sunday, March 17th. One person, one vote, so this reminder is for those who missed it the first time round.
Anthony Watts has done a good job with the instructions, so just click here and do as he tells you.
Watts Up With That is nominated in two categories, and that’s where my support went. James Delingpole vs American Thinker was a tough choice. I love Delingpole, so he got my vote. But your mileage may vary.
From the Rules:

This is a one person, one vote process that involves a confirmation email E-mail addresses are required to vote. You must use your own address and confirm the verification e-mail.
If you verify a second ballot, your first one will be replaced.

Watts advises that if you don’t get the confirmation email within a half hour, that you check your spam filter. My verification email came within 15 minutes or so. Voting ends March 17th, with winners announced March 24th.
The real value of these awards is in raising the profile of blogs you may never have heard of. Take some time to click around, who knows what gems may be waiting!
